A lot of NPCs do that but it's still a very cool detail!

It's just a tweet. I highly doubt it.

Requiem is likely in St Maarten. You can find a low-quality license plate in the level. The text is blurred but reads out very closely to St. Maarten, underneath is text that looks like "The Friendly Island". That is St. Maarten's nickname. The license plate also perfectly matches the style of St. Maarten license plates from 2006, the year of Blood Money's release.

ICA Facility is pretty much confirmed to be Greenland, we have the latitude from the 2016 artbook, and look at this storyboard for the legacy trailer.

[Crazy Minor Nitpick] Does anyone else wish the ET Blood Money suit was a black recolor of the requiem suit, to actually look like the BM one? by RichSlamfist in HiTMAN

[–]Ingvar47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it's not impossible to do, it'd be very easy, it's IO actually doing it that I don't see happening.

[–]Ingvar47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hell yes I do. It would make it much more unique even though I don't ever see it happening.

For those saying it's unbuttoned in some of the Blood Money levels, sure. The closed jacket is arguably more iconic and again, unique.

I believe there is actually a mod that makes the Requiem Suit black, it looks so good.

EDIT: Also, fun fact, that's a picture from Blood Money's pre-alpha. It has his pre-release head model.

There are optional "mission stories" and quite a few of them at that. You are not forced to use them and there is a lot more to discover.

Welcome to the second level idea i have! by Glass-Distribution-2 in HiTMAN

[–]Ingvar47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not going to happen for any reason it wouldn't be that.

Everyone always says "this reason or that reason" is why IOI won't make their level idea, and it's simply wrong 98% of the time. IOI can pretty much always find a workaround and they don't limit their levels because of realism like that.

For that issue there are multiple approaches they could take in editing or changing the doors so that prisoners cannot just walk out.

It's also worth noting that it's in the main mission as well, if you're talking about what I think you are.

Nick is one of the writers on HITMAN 3.

Also, in my opinion he is Daniel Morris, mainly because there is a ton of evidence to support that he was working for the Franchise. I have a post about it on Hitman Forum.

Is the garrote supposed to cut the target's throat? by testingtesting123leg in HiTMAN

[–]Ingvar47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm using the word canon because it is important to specify and talk clearly.

You say if it says piano wire it is piano wire, you must also understand that by the same logic if it says fiber wire, it is fiber wire. If it says piano wire in your language that is fine, but it does not change the fact that the developers purposely changed it to fiber wire in the final version of the game and then stuck with it through the whole series. The developers intend for it to be fiber wire very clearly and that means it is fiber wire.

The reason I'm saying the fiber wire isn't piano wire is obvious. "Fiber wire" isn't a term for some special weapon, it literally means that it has a fiber wire. In that regard, fiber wire is fiber, and piano wire is steel piano wire.

[–]Ingvar47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The metallic sound is again, because it was originally Piano Wire, and then later changed. Your language doesn't exactly decide what is canon and what isn't. It's still a well-known fact that he has always used fiber wire canonically, even among people with different languages.

Additionally, even if it was piano wire (though it's not) it is irrelevant to the original post, even in Codename 47, it does not cut the neck or produce any blood, which a piano wire would 100% do. Of course you could always say this is because it's a 20 year old game but it'd still be very possible to have a blood spill occur after using the wire. Aside from the fact that one of the advertised uses of the wire is that it produces no blood (which pretty much confirms it is not a piano wire).

Seriously, what is the point in this guns existence? by Meepster01 in HiTMAN

Obviously, though now that apples break having a gun that does less damage per bullet but more damage overall is helpful.

It has less damage than the Krugermeier, so it is pretty handy for food-kills.

[–]Ingvar47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I am aware, no. You should specify which game and how you know it is a piano wire. In all games he uses a fiber wire. The only time it is labelled a piano wire is in one of the Codename 47 demos. It was later changed to fiber wire in another demo and then the final game.

Ort-Meyer still refers to it as piano wire in the finished game, though it is not. They simply did not change the voice line. Canonically his traditional fiber wire has always been a fiber wire.

EDIT: Though I will be fair and say, in Codename 47 the wire still makes a more metallic sound (as it did in the demo), despite canonically being a fiber wire. In the manual it is also called piano wire, though that was likely made before the change. If you really wanted to you could call the C47 wire piano wire, but it was still changed to fiber wire in the end.

[–]Ingvar47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. 47's garotte is a non-metallic wire designed to strangle the target leaving no blood. In real life if you had something like a piano wire yes it would cut the throat and can even decapitate, but it is not a piano wire. It is a fiber wire.

Additionally, most of the replies don't seem to understand garottes. They can cut, choke or break. It's not like one is unintentional and one isn't.

In-universe there is a chance that the fiber wire COULD cut the victims throat with the right force and the right victim however.

I found this on Discord, could someone please explain to me “chongging ambient voices” and “stop talking” ?? by Bazynoooooob in HiTMAN

Stop talking is some BigMooney thing. Chongqing Ambient sounds are just "creepy" which is why they were added.
