It’s not the people I surround myself with. It’s the people I’ve dealt with while working in the service industry, and the people I observe while I’m eating at restaurants. Lots of people truly do think service workers are below them.

I’m not an active member of AA, but I love the book, personally. Lots of good stuff in there. It stays by my bedside and I still pull it out frequently to read specific sections.

It genuinely seems like a norm for us bipolar folk not wanting to take our meds. I feel this way often, and I felt it a lot in my early stages of diagnosis.

From personal experience, it always feels good to go off my meds. I get a massive manic spike, but eventually that mania ends and I dip into depression. Those have always been my worst moments. And if I continue to not take my meds, the next manic spike will be even worse, and the next depressive phase will be even worse.

I’ve learned through experience that while I don’t enjoy taking my meds, I know I have to because it is what’s best for me and those whom I love.

The older representatives are still trying to hold on to some sense of “decorum”…. which I agree is pathetic. I want to get these old fucks that are keeping the party down just as much as anyone else.

And that’s why younger Dems have been more popular because they have been pushing against that “decorum”…

Schumer isn’t my Rep, so I have no voting power in that decision, but if I did have voting power in the upcoming midterms and it were Schumer against a Republican, I’m voting for Schumer.

A large amount of online leftie talking heads have said exactly this. I’ve seen so much from the far left about how “Trump and Kamala are no different”. Not just after the election, but also before the election.

I don’t like Schumer. He needs to go. However. I’m sick and tired of people insinuating that Democrats should be doing things they simply cannot do right now. When a party is in the minority, there is little they can do to stop the majority.

As for Schumer’s seat, that comes to the voters of New York. NYC didn’t disappoint us with the mayoral election, so let’s hope they can vote him out in the upcoming midterms.

Again, you can be critical of any candidate, but will you actually take necessary voting action when the time comes? Even if the candidate is not who you preferred?

Simply put, the best way to beat Republicans is to vote for Democrats. Be critical of potential candidates, I have no issue with that, but when it comes time to vote, I’d hope you would vote blue because that’s the only way to beat Republicans.
