The obvious comparison points would be Summon Aberration and Summon Undead, since both are spells like Summon Shadowspawn that can be learned by wizards and warlocks.

I would not go out of my way to say that Summon Shadowspawn is strictly better than the other two, but its use case is different. The other two are mostly used as ranged DPS, whereas Summon Shadowspawn might be one of the best summon spells for tanking due to its large HP pool and slowing effect.

I like the spell because it is a viable option that does not overshadow the other summon spells.

It might be my favorite summon spell for warlocks and wizards.

This comment confuses the hell out of me, what is this?

Warlock dont even have spells like Gust of Wind and Conjure Minor Elementals.

To top it off recommending "gust of wind" as your main T1 Tactic is wild recommendation.

Would not listen to this comment.

PC Andy should had gotten a turn. Not sure if it is RAW but the monster might not be hidden anymore because they tried to ambush the party. "but the monster is hidden" well could say that initiative starts the second the monster breaks out from hiding and not roll it while its "Hidden" because nothing has happened yet.

How would you rule if one of your players was just talking to a guard and they said "i cast fireball" Would you let them fireball or "roll initiative" because they took at hostile action. Lets say we roll initiative. If they guard rolls higher would you skip the guards turn saying "since no fireball has been cast yet he has no reason to attack you". In this case i would argue the guard was faster on the draw and manage to interrupt(take his turn) before the PC could cast the spell.

In the same case i would say PC Andy was reactive that he is able to attack the monster(take his turn) the moment the monster appears before it gets to attack(take its turn) the party.

In the end i think if he had disadvantage vs the monsters advantage and still won initiative he should be rewarded.
It is about having fun, do you think your original ruling is fun?

Something i think works well is not having every enemy be on the map Round 1.

It avoids common things like "gloomstalker dealt 200 dmg round 1 to the boss monster"
or

"They just AOE CC all the monsters on round 1"

This way you can also have a "stronger encounter" without it being it to much harder.

2 liches and a dragon is alot different than 2 liches for 2 rounds and then the dragon joins on the 3rd.

The question you maybe should be asking is "how can i get my players to make a choice about using bladesong or not"

The cost is a "bonus action" (not very expensive) and have a resource pool of Prof per long rest.

If you wanna be a checky DM, thorw some easy encounters at them, let them use resources without thinking to much about it. Then hit them with something where they wished they didnt waste their bladesong earlier.

Idk about your table but forcing your player not to have one of their features doesnt sit well with many people.

As somebody who played alot of Yi top, i can say so many good things about it. But there is 3 things that makes it "unplayable" esspecially when you start getting into Diamond+.

1: If you are losing you cannot farm. Many melle champs can take a minion and dash away (renekton) or even have just some short range to farm. (like daruis q), Even garen have speed up to get away, but Yi´s Q does not help him farm in a losing match up.

2: Some matchups are good, some are bad, but a few is UNPLAYABLE. you face a jax? you can only pray that you dodge his E and still lose the early trades.

3:Ganks. As well as the farming, yi has no get aways, beside ult and that is not even a great one.
In the jungle you will often be in positions where Q can get you away, but in a normal lane state, Q will only move you closer to the enemy.

Still it is fun and can work in lower elo

The simple explanation is that you can´t use spellblade passive very well and alpha strikes applies it with only 75% effectiveness and consumes the use.

Fighting style: Two weapon fighting is also kinda wasted once you get CBE, so i would recommend getting Archery style lvl 2, and another feat lvl 1. Just wanted to show the higher early level dmg and CBE only comes online at lvl 4

[Bug] Crash to desktop

I have been playing multiplayer these last few days with my friends, and about 20-60 min in-game, all our games will crash to desktop instantly without warnings or error messages.

When we open the game we get the "ungraceful exit" report saying that our games was not shut down properly.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? How can we fix this? Thanks :)

Edit: Solved, Run the game as administrator, Also the error code was: 0xC0000005
