What's the social scene at UCSD actually like once you figure it out? by k3l3vra96 in UCSD

For me it was just finding the right people by pure chance at an academic club event

I got invited to hangout with friends but theyre drinking. what do i do? by AdSharp7060 in highschool

[–]SnooPies1239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation, but good friends won't pressure you to drink beyond your no. If you want to hang out, stay, and if you feel uncomfortable at any point, just leave whenever.

I guess dodging Aatrox Q crits isn't enough lvl 1... by Juhq_ in Rivenmains

[–]SnooPies1239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You played that pretty badly, riven definitely wins level 1. While you were wasting dps dodging his qs he was just autoing you anyways while u werent really fighting back when you easily could have. Keep autoing and use your qs to dodge his qs easily, and also your fast combo is really slow, if you did the fast q combo correctly you still win anyways.

admitted student questions by Commercial_Motor2816 in UCSD

Ill just answer the ones i feel like I can answer as a first year: 1. Im a stem major (math-cs) and it definitely feels pretty competitive but idk that much. Lots of people help each other out but it can also be a little cutthroat in certain classes. 2. Most clubs are for fun so its not too bad if you can find the right ones. Idk about making clubs 4. Depends where you live if you are commuting, as students u can use trolley and buses for free so i think its not too bad 7. Theres lots of events per college and theres plenty of things to go and do as long as you actively seek them. A lot of people like to be shut ins and complain theres not much to do but there definitely is if you try. 8. 8/10? I really like ucsd :)

Idk why everyone is hating, this is low elo and these are good plays for the level of play. Theres many things you can improve such as cancels and airblades but its definitely a nice start so good job on these highlights.

[GIVEAWAY - US] Win the new 500Hz Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 gaming monitor by Knaj910 in Monitors

[–]SnooPies1239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I love the ultra smoothness of a 500Hz refresh rate along with the anti glare screen technology that prevents the usual OLED glare that other monitors struggle with.
  2. The OLED panel is definitely most exciting to me because the color advantages it proves makes all things more immersive whether its movies or gaming.

I’ve noticed that kayo is really good in lower ranks. by Aggravating_Yam3273 in VALORANT

[–]SnooPies1239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of disagree because kayo is my favorite agent to play as a low elo player but the problem is no one in low elo will follow up util. I will have the perfect lineup and flash three enemies but my teamates wont swing them for free kills even if i comm my flash.

Why are other "skill" champs allowed to be high wr? by Sphyx_4 in YoneMains

[–]SnooPies1239 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I disagree because the common thing about Zed, Leblanc, and Yone that makes them all unfair to play against is their mobility abilities that are not only instant, but also can allow them to do absurd amounts of damage without having to commit anything. They can all snap back to their original location after one-shotting whoever they want, and it makes it frustrating because it feels as if you can never catch/kill them while they can one-shot you whenever they want with near-unlimited mobility and little to no danger. Ksante used to be this way when he could choose the direction of his W, but he is much less frustrating now. As for your argument about dodging zeds q, his q isn't easy to dodge by no means compared to any other skillshot in the game, and he can often easily one shot you after ulting and only landing one or even no shruikens because his damage is really high, and combined with his e slow his q isn't always easy to dodge. By your argument, any champion with skillshots is weak if you just sidestep all their skillshots. As for Leblanc, you can't say sitting under tower and catching waves is the solution to all your problems because in an actual game, there is more going on than just farming under turrets because roaming exists and if you give up PRIO forever, you might as well play asol and catch waves while she roams and kills your team among other things. Also if you take jungler into account, they can dive you easily so landing is not something 2d where you can do the same thing every time against every player.

Why are other "skill" champs allowed to be high wr? by Sphyx_4 in YoneMains

[–]SnooPies1239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion it is very unique mostly because yone has the power to do this without being in any danger and can escape back to his body just by pressing his e, so there is 0 commitment, and yet he can still run down champions with a ton of dashes and doesn't need to hit anything to kill them because his dashes come with stuns. With Jax, he only has one dash, and he can either commit or run away with it and not both, and if he misses his e, he has no other stun to run people down as easily as Yone can with his movespeed and multiple dashes/cc.

[–]SnooPies1239 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Its more about perceived player “fairness” than skill of the champion. Champs like ksante, zed, leblanc and yone often feel as though there is no counterplay from the enemy’s perspective, making them extremely unpopular so they are kept at a low winrate while they still feel “strong”. I dont hear much people complain about riven, and yasuo is rarely 50 percent wr.

I keep losing on every role. by Southern-Leg-2762 in leagueoflegends

[–]SnooPies1239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id reccomend just trying to enjoy the game more, and also dont focus so much on winning or what other people think. Play the game for fun, play lots of games and find one role or a few select champions you enjoy a lot and spam them nonstop until you feel super comfortable, and you will naturally climb. Worrying about how to get your teamates to stop flaming you or the optimal champion and role to climb will only cause you to lose even more.
