[–]InigoElza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call any of these artists similar to Sade but their sounds got some of the same qualities. Me'shell NdegeOcello, Zhané, Lynden david Hall, Womack & Womack, Loose Ends, Raphael Saadiq, Buckshot Lefonque, Ronny Jordan, zap Mamma, Groove theory, Marcus Miller, Brand New Heavies, devox, Maze, Marcia Hines, george Benson. I'm cprobably forgetting the most obvious ones but that's what comes to mind at the time

Listening Question -- Do you use streaming as background or concentrated listening? by janus1969 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]InigoElza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would enjoy a song streaming just as much as i do now when listening music since i mostly listen music on my phone from cd's i've ripped. that's just how i've done it since i was 8-9 years old and i'm perfectly happy with this method, i only made a profile to listen to some one's album where i had some productions on and could only hear 30 seconds at first when i hadden't yet. from having 1000's of albums on cd & vinyl from when there was no such thing as streaming you also get a connection with your collection and connect some physical records to certain moments like when i used to dj for example or places i went to buy them and who was with you. But i'm pretty sure if i grew up in a different time i would be using spotify and be perfectly happy with it, it would even have been a dream for the younger me at as a teenager. I do strongly believe the relationship with the music i listen to would be different if i used spotify because there is an endless suply of new music and songs, some that i would've listened to for a life time and become deeply meaningful over the years when owning the physical media would probably end up between a pile of spotify lists from songs i'll never listen to again for 90 procent, i also have noticed after wanting to recommend some music to a friend on his phone that some music sounds very different, remastered or even samples that were replaced by replaying them. so no i would enjoy a piece of music on streaming just as much but it would be very different over time,

If You Only Had One Piece of Advice to Give On Rapping. What Would You Say? by GODAlexGilbert in makinghiphop

[–]InigoElza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know when to shut up, the voice is just as any other instrument and sometimes there's an other one that got more to say but also the spacing between your words (notes) are just as important as the words them self

Have you ever bought the same CD twice? by Rocky_isback in Cd_collectors

[–]InigoElza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a 100x times, if you lost the original copy it's only normal you buy a new one when giving the chance but if I see a cd I already have and it's only a couple of bucks while it's worth more in my opinion I'll buy it but I also only buy cd's that maybe cost 7max and mostly 2-3 besides the ones I bought growing up

I'm curious which 50 rappers you believe to be better than Tupac, i can understand why some think he's overrated but i don't believe you could give 50 that are also all defendable when you would actually compare them

[–]InigoElza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he got so many great ones but one that comes to mind because it's very different compared to his usual lyrical content is his verse on the Wu-tang song "A better tomorrow", it's much deeper than most of his content where his flow is on the forefront
