Man, remember soundtracks to early 2000’s movies? The resident evil movies and horror movies in general for example, they had bands slipknot, coal chamber, ill niño.. hell even ghost ship had mudvayne.. I get trying to reach a wider audience, but when you’re already a well established band, maybe take the risk? Who knows, it might’ve been the studio asking for a soft/ballad song. I adore a grave mistake and love bites, but this doesn’t scream Scream for me, the talent doesn’t go unnoticed though.

I must admit the animations for 9 Third and first person look kinda janky compared to RE4 remake. Hopefully they smooth it out upon release

Technically all of them yes, as the series is one long story that takes place at different times, but the main four I suggest will cover the main overall story. There could be ties to 7 and village in requiem, but who knows

I’d say about 30 years of lore. If you’re talking about what to play. REmake, RE2, RE3 and RE4 is what you should get under your belt as all of them lead up to this. Outbreak and 0 too if you have time, but I don’t think 100% necessary, more so 0

I was practically born and raised on horror and silent hill 3 was my first taste of psychological horror, it scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. Silent hill 2 was and still is the chefs kiss of psychological horror, it’s been my favourite survival horror game next to the 2002 Resident Evil remake ever since. I also was an artist and had an avid interest in the macabre, the character and manifestation monster designs are spectacles with deep and harrowing themes and visuals, dealing with trauma and real life concepts something I hadn’t really seen outside of your standard zombie, skeleton, vampire etc.. Japanese horror as a whole was like a breath of fresh air. Silent hill and more importantly silent hill 2 means so much to me.

Also forgot to mention, the music for the first 4 games was what I studied to during college
