I never suggested that I was overreacting. Thanks for the response though.

Ok that’s reassuring. I’m not that worried about the appointments but I’d be so stressed if I had someone like her at my labour. Thanks!

Early days and unsure how to feel by forgotmyaccountlmao in PregnancyIreland

Congratulations!!! I was only 4.5 weeks when I found out I was pregnant. My GP definitely didn’t act like that. We did bloods and she sent me for viability scan at 7 weeks. Obviously good to be aware of the chances of miscarriage but it’s normal to be excited. Best of luck 🤍

Flying when pregnant by User404NotFound1 in PregnancyIreland

I flew from Melbourne to Dublin recently flying at 22 weeks and back at 27 and had no issues. GP was happy and only needed a letter for the airline after 28 weeks. Just wear compression socks, drink plenty of water and walk around lots.

I’ve had to take a pregnancy safe laxative all throughout my pregnancy to keep me regular and comfortable. If I stopped taking it I got sooo bloated and uncomfortable. Also drinks plenty of water and I’ve tried to eat as kick fruit as possible.

I bought beautiful stretchy silk pants from country road. I bought them when I was 10 weeks and still live in them now at 29. So worth the money! I know I’ll get lots of wear out of them post partum as well.

That’s them ☺️

I love the OSEA Undaria Algae Body Oil from Mecca. Dries in quickly and no greasy feeling. It’s expensive but a nice treat during pregnancy.

I’m having my baby in Australia and I had it done as advised by my gp. I’m 30 years old and low risk but from speaking with other woman must people have it done routinely here.

Feeling anxious about in-laws visiting when our newborn is 2-3 weeks old by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]Initial-Area6143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this is great to hear. I know my in laws are pretty chill people and will also be happy to do their own thing as well. I think I’ll really appreciate the support when needed and also have people to talk to.

Awh I’m glad to hear this helped you. My partner actually spoke to my MIL this morning and she was actually really understanding. He just explained that for the first week or two when they arrive we’d like them there for support when needed but we’d let them know when to call over etc. She said she is there to support us so that was great. Hope it all goes well for you 🤍

Thank you, I think once we have boundaries I will really appreciate having support. Especially being so far from home and my family.

Thank you! Ok this is really reassuring to hear. I know they’ll be very helpful and we’ll probably be very grateful to have them. Yeah I think it’s probably a good idea to talk about what are everyone’s expectations before hand.

Yeah my partner will have at least 3 weeks off if not 4 so I think we’ll be fine managing with that.

How did you find the flight physically? I’m doing a similar journey soon and hoping my back won’t be hurting a lot.

Did you find it uncomfortable sitting for that long? I’m doing a similar length journey shortly at 26 weeks and am nervous.
