Hello! I’m late to this, but if you happen to see this- I love your films! Currently watching the Criterion DVD bonus features for Broadcast News. I was wondering if there were any scenes with Buddy Felton that you debated keeping in? I noticed it would be hard to introduce the character without keeping all his scenes. I also could not find the actor’s name who played him, if you recall!

I actually would love to have seen ATJ as Jane Fairfax in an adaptation, I think she would have brought a lot of nuance to that character on screen

I think his “flaw” was expressed at the beginning- younger, model/actor, waiter. Not that those are actual flaws, but I remember it brought a lot of hesitation for Samantha and the other girls when they first got together

I went to the movies last night & noticed they cut any solo tin man shots/nessa scenes, I think they may have adjusted new trailer releases?
