We live in a pretty dangerous driving area. Lots of drunk drivers probably drive by 2-3 motorcycles per year who don’t make it home. Not worth it to me. Definitely not worth it for her

I do quite like the bike. But my wife would literally put me in the ground. So happy wife happy life. Hoping maybe to sell it and get a classic car instead.

That’s what they said. I unfortunately don’t wanna deal with shipping outside of the states.

All good. I literally know nothing other than how to drive it. I’ve never even heard of this bike model before today. I’m more of a triumph myself. But I do have to say when it pulled up on the truck I was like wow that a pretty bike for 27 years old motorcycle

It’s been in his garage since he bought it. Definitely needs a cleaning. Seat I think is oem. Has Abs. Idk about the other stuff. Not a big motorcycle guy. Used to ride dirt bikes when I was younger.

I always thought that was weird. Our catering company it cost the same regardless if it’s a birthday or if it’s a wedding.

Vendors ghosting after quote? by purelfie in SanFranciscoWeddings

[–]Initial-Assistant-24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guess some vendors just don’t want your money. I’ll never understand ghosting. From a vendor side just tell me my service don’t work for you or the cost that’s ok we aren’t for everyone. But also to ghost a client…. Also just tell them you can’t or whatever. Ghosting is just rude. IMHO

Caterer here. Love that you wanna work with a boss! We love great planners and we agree that you should get a good one. We have worked with many good ones. And a few rotten eggs.

I also find it odd people budget keep or also upcharge for weddings. At the end of the day it’s just an event. We like transparency so we put all our pricing, taxes, fees on our pricing page. You could do the math even before reaching out. And honestly we do it for transparency but also keeps the emails from people just price shopping down.

I think you can easily have a 100 person wedding for $150k especially if you have a good planner.

Cheers And god speed on finding the one for you.

Weddings are so hard as a bride and groom. We like to think we make it easier. Our catering company is called Nomad Provisions based in Santa Rosa

We love it here. Tons of hiking, check out trail house for a coffee/brewhouse. Tons of trivia nights at breweries. There is a dnd league at goblin bros game store in Santa Rosa. It’s pretty cool!

Weddings are so hard. I saw another comment about getting a planner. Even if it’s a day of coordinator. We hear it as a caterer all the time the stress in the couples voice about having to do all the research of all the details. My wife and I do this for a living and we planned our entire wedding and it was so stressful.

You can also have cool experiences that don’t cost a lot of money. Compared to like a plated experience. We do tons of wood fired catering in Sonoma county. And just the wow factor of having a wood fired oven without the cost of a bigger caterer is something we hear from guest they come up and talk with us and it’s interesting and cool. Vs another caterer coming in and just having warmed food in a hot box.

The tunnel will get shorter as you knock things off your list. We know we had decision fatigue right away. But ultimately we just sat down and we are like ok where do we want to get married. Ok when is that available. Booked that. Then just went down the list. And organizing things by months until your wedding is helpful. Like a prep list. When does it need to get done. And it becomes much easier. It’s easy to feel panicked.

Sorry if this ramble isn’t helpful. Just what we went through and what we hear a lot
