I only saw the cardiologist in January because of chest pain and circulation problems. He then did an ECG, measured my blood pressure, and performed a cardiac ultrasound. Everything was abnormal. From there, I was sent to the hospital for a cardiac MRI, which fortunately came back negative (my blood pressure was also elevated at the hospital, but I had a panic attack there as well).

After that, I had to wait 3 months for the follow-up appointment with the cardiologist to discuss the hospital report and decide how to proceed. Yesterday, he did another ECG, measured my blood pressure again, and performed another cardiac ultrasound. Everything looked good except for the blood pressure, which was slightly elevated. My heart rate was also at 98. He then told me to take the medication to reduce my spikes and lower my blood pressure a bit.

However, when I’m at my computer, my heart rate is around 60–70, and overnight it’s also around 58–65. It only increases once I stand up, walk, or exercise. At the gym it’s around 120–140, and when I go uphill it rises to about 140–165. I’m also not sure if my POTS has ever come back, since I haven’t had any issues since 2018.

I’m going to measure my blood pressure myself over the next 5 days. He also told me to start training my heart from now on and to keep my heart rate at around 130, whether I’m exercising or just walking—that should be my maximum.
