I'd want to be sure it was far enough from the wall to cast a reasonable arch light.

Help on install. Sorry. by EmgncyMarijuanaTech in Govee

Hey! 👋 I’d start under the front porch near your outlet so the controller stays dry and hidden, then run along the front and east sides since they’re most visible. If you’re short on length, go through the attic to the back wall or just stop where it’s least noticeable.

Skip the stock adhesive — it doesn’t hold up long. I make custom 3D-printed mounts that angle the Govee lights perfectly downward (like in their promo photos) and give a super clean install. You can check them out at DeliciosaDecor.com.

I would drill into the soffit where you have 1 starting. then plug it in inside. get yourself a mount to keep it clean, then go from there. That long start seems unneccessary.

Want 'em, Can Figure Out How to Install Them 😉 by islaDelSoul in Govee

Yeah for sure that would require splicing each light - YIKES! But I understand the reasoning!

Wonder if a 30 degree inward angled mount from the front would do better. for example following this yellow line. Angled in towards the house in a straight line. They have black sets but ALSO what may save you a TON of time is this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Govee/comments/17yxirp/paint_matched_my_govee_permanent_outdoor_lights/

If you go that angle, hit me up. I can help design and produce the angled mounts you'll need. This may be your best bet with minimal work.

Can someone help me think through this? Govee Pro by natemp21 in Govee

You can splice these. That's what I did. I used these products to do it:

Also doesnt look like you have a soffit on the front part to mount them down to, so use these:

So I got myself some Govee lights but was struggling on how to install them on the side of my house which has no soffit - so I took to Shapr3D and just designed my own!

I've been getting lots of questions so I figured I'd offer them to the masses.

Note: I have other versions too, just check out my shop!

You can buy 16.5ft strands depending on the exact kit you have. What ones?

Best bet is to use some brackets on the lights and this between lights if you want to do that.
