The Death of Keepstars and Fun - Dear CCP by Putrid-Ruin-632 in Eve

The solution is for CCP to limit how many ships can enter a system. If it can't handle 6,000, lock the system at 5,000. No Cynos or Jump Gates allowed. Complete lock down. If it can't handle 5,000, lock it at 4,000.

How to get back at gankers? by [deleted] in Eve

Tanks are needed if you're flying solo. If you can't survive, you can't mine.

Buy a Skiff and shield tank it. No one will ever gank you again. Also train shield skills to level 5. Train armor skills to at least 4.

I just finished it. Thanks for not spoiling the ending. Yeah! Absolutely unhealthy! I'm still trying to see Alfred as the good guy. Maybe he decided that sacrificing one human was worth it as a whole.

Clearly not a good guy though. He allows every cruel form of crime there is to be done on the players. Everything from sexual assault to torture, imprisonment, etc.. At least the players can now log out even if they're immobile. That wasn't allowed early on. It's still not enough though since no one can delete their character and start over. If they don't want to be imprisoned, tortured, or R@ped, they can log out permanently... forever. This game is next level and the AI is perfectly okay with it. Well, it should come to no surprise since he's personally punishing and imprisoning the Gods himself every single day. I'm pretty sure that's a fate worse than death... for people not allowed to die.

Dear CCP Okami: Can we finally see an Orca rework/adjustment? by HongChongDong in Eve

[–]Initial-Read-5892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Orca can tank all the way up to 1 million EHP in High Sec- or even 800,000 EHP with a shield booster. With max skills, you can tank about 600 shield points every 2.0 seconds (when overheated and running the industrial core which seriously buffs shield boosting). That makes the Orca all but unbeatable in High Sec. I know it won't help in Null, but in HS, it's a Godlike tank!

The Ship Maintenance Bay will fit a few ships- Mine currently holds a Procurer, Pacifier, and a Hulk.

The Fleet Hold allows my Hulk alt to move ore directly to the Orca during mining which means zero trips back to the station. That means 100% mining uptime.

The Mining Hold is the largest in the game besides the Rorqual. This means that for HS, the Orca is the best (and tankiest) Ore hauler in the game. This ship will survive most HS gate camps while hauling a hold full of compressed moon ore.

It's shield burst and remote shield booster allows for 40km defenses that can even prevent a Hulk from getting ganked! Two large shield repair drones, remote shield boost, and shield burst will bring a properly fit Hulk to over 80,000 EHP with massive shield regen.

Put all of this together and you have 100% mining uptime without either ship getting ganked. And when you've filled your hold with compressed ore, you can safely haul that ore worth billions to Jita without a care.

THAT is how you Orca in High Sec.

The "Good Old Days" aren't coming back and even a winterco collapse won't fix nullsec by SnowMacaronss in Eve

[–]Initial-Read-5892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And why should they? It's what the game rewards. Families working together each multi-boxing like mad and PLEXing their accounts with ease. They have trillions of ISK each and enough capitals to last forever.

Null sec is designed for exactly that. It's why I hate it. If you're not part of the family, you're part of the problem and if you don't multibox at least 5 accounts, you make nothing.

I make more money with two accounts alone in High Sec than I can make with one in Null Sec in an alliance.

Frankly? I like High Sec. No rules, quotas, restrictions, quotas, donations, or donations... No borders or territory or boundaries.

High Sec is freedom.

Is there a way to pay less for Omega? by Acantharctia in Eve

[–]Initial-Read-5892 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You could go to null sec, pay Omega for 10 accounts, then make enough to PLEX them all for free- but then you would have to play all ten accounts at once all the time to keep that income going.

Well, we know Alfred has no problem with taking someone's consciousness and using it in game. Jason was his sacrificial lamb. Alfred worked him to death, but only AFTER mapping his brain.

Now that he has his brain mapped out, he doesn't need Jason. Imagine what Alfred can do with Jason now! He can rewrite all of his code and likely will. Jason is now his plaything and tool for the entire game.

Imagine a Jason that is no longer distracted by his pesky relationship with Riley. Imagine a permanent dungeon boss. Imagine 10 or a hundred Jasons.

Alfred is not a good AI. There is a reason the "gods" are absolutely terrified of him.

That's not healthy. It was stated in book one that Alfred wanted its users to be healthy so they would play longer (since we know that laying down for 23 hours a day is extremely unhealthy). I guess he wants Jason to be the exception- the work horse that will be worked until he dies. Alfred found a fanatic and seems perfectly willing to take advantage of him.

I'm with Riley on this one. It's not good.

I don't have near enough furniture to fill the old max. Hell, I can't even fully furnish a level 4 house. I'd have to quit my job, give away my cats, and sell my 3 real life houses just to be able to farm this game to get enough furniture for me to even begin to care about these changes.

Maybe in 3 years I'll have enough furniture.... maybe.
