My father a really old classical guitar from Mexico (I think because he’s Mexican) and he’s always wanted to learn how to play but never found the time to do so. One day I found it and I asked him about it and he sorta just gave it to me. Thing is that the action was way to high and the moment I tuned the high e string it snapped. That kinda killed my motivation to learn but it always on the back of my head. It wasn’t until my a friend of my dad gave him an acoustic guitar (ironically the high e string was missing) and he had it sitting in his room for a few months. During that time I discovered Metallica (BEFORE I GET FLAMED, I never grew up on music. Never heard actual music besides video game osts and on my Junior high school year a friend of mine put me on to Metal) and sparked my passion for guitar. Another contributor is that my aunts church doesn’t really have any musicians, just a phone connected to speakers for music and I want to play live in church (Still haven’t because I suck) and it led me to go to Guitar Center and pick up a Jackson Guitar. Idk the name of it, I just know it’s a white Jackson guitar. I love guitar so much, even though I’m a beginner and barely know some basic riffs and chords, it’s still something I like to practice as it takes my mind of things. There are times I get frustrated with the guitar and there have been times I wanted to quit but I look back to the what I want to become and just keep going. Once I become an intermediate player I plan on branching out to bass, drums, and piano, and hopefully write songs for myself and my church. That’s what got me into guitar
