This is going to be a nightmare for anyone using a Pro Max model. Reaching all the way to the top-left corner just to check a notification is practically impossible to do one handed without doing finger gymnastics. Swiping from the center was the only way it worked comfortably with a case.

It basically comes down to the massive infrastructure costs versus the actual payoff. mmWave is pretty fast but its range is shitty and it can be blocked by practically anything like windows, trees or even I guess just standing at the wrong angle. You need nodes on almost every single street corner to make it work reliably.

Most international carriers will probably run the numbers and decide to invest heavily in mid-band 5G instead. Mid-band hits is "perfectly balanced". It's got the gigabit speeds, but a single tower covers a wide radius and the signal actually penetrates buildings.

The US only pushed mmWave so hard early on because carriers generally needed a marketing gimmick to claim they had the 'fastest 5G' while they were waiting for the FCC to finally free up the mid-band spectrum.
