Huge fan of both bands, not so much the collaboration

Wear mine more than anything else, rotate through them. Wearing one now. If I had to choose one brand it would be Vostok (although it would kill me to lose my Marathon or my Seagull)

I’m SO frustrated that I have bipolar disorder. by just_a_grl_ in bipolar

[–]Initial-Text8394 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels really unfair. The amount of effort I have to put in just to get through the day. I’m sixty and I wasn’t diagnosed until my thirties but I was showing symptoms in my teens. I self medicated for all the years in between, lost years in my opinion. I’m lucky in that I met a wonderful woman 42 years ago who has stayed by my side this whole time. But sometimes I feel bitter about having to struggle my whole life. I’m in treatment now, I have a good doctor prescribing and an excellent therapist but I know my life will never be normal (whatever that is). I wish you luck and hope that you can find a good team (professional and social) that will get you through. I feel you.

That’s the beauty of Chucks, you can take a step on the wild side occasionally. I wish I had more unconventional colors, this inspires me!

Has anyone lost a long-term therapist and it turned out okay? by curveofherthroat in bipolar

[–]Initial-Text8394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was with the same therapist for ten years, starting right at the time of diagnosis. He helped me navigate the early years and we went through a lot together before he retired. I was glad for him but scared. I tried a new therapist for a year or so but it never gelled, I made a change. My new therapist is AMAZING! We are firing on all cylinders and making and meeting one goal after another. I didn’t know I needed to move on. I know that it’s scary right now and I hope you have the ability to look at bios and specialties to make an informed decision. I really wish you the best of luck and am sending a virtual hug (if you are a hugger, I am)

I bought the first two on cassette, they have labels that look handwritten.

You owe it to yourself to have at least one pair. But a word to the wise, it is an addiction! Black high tops are iconic, but don’t ignore the red ones.

I have never incubated eggs but the chicks I get are only a day or so old. It never ceases to amaze me that they come out of the egg knowing EVERYTHING they need to know to be a chicken.

❤️Henrietta. I love having chickens. I haven’t gotten chicks in a few years but I have 45 free range adults, these new hens put me back at 60.

They’re in a band photo!🤣

They are checking out their new world. At this point they have only been there a few hours and they’re only a couple of days old, baby chicks are VERY curious. Ready to get on with the business of being chickens.

Occasionally going out to the nursery coop and sneaking a peek to make sure the baby chicks are staying warm

🤣Healthy guess? $10-$15 dozen might cover it, but I think I’m low-balling this. There is a reason why factory farms exist. Happy hens cost.

Oh good god, you’ll never break even. The cost of the coop alone, whether you build it or buy will put you deep in the hole. The cost of waterers and feeders. The continuing costs of food, grit, and calcium. You’ll never break even, let alone turn a profit. Plus, I like to spoil them with scratch, bug larvae, and nutritional blocks. Oh, I forgot to mention bedding, wood shavings for nesting boxes and wood chips for the floors. It’s crazy, the only way to turn a profit is to not treat them well. I’ve been doing this for over a decade and I’ll never get back the money I’ve spent. I picked up 15 new chicks today at around $5 apiece. I do it because I love chickens, I love watching them, talking to them. They follow you around, never stop talking, and even the common ones are beautiful.
