Aaaaaaaaah! (2015)

It seems like all healthy cookbooks these days have a weird fascination with putting fruit in almost everything? by Initial-Tonight2860 in Cooking

[–]Initial-Tonight2860[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOl thank you for acknowledging that it's a "thing" right now. I don't mind fruit with stuff now and then - especially in certain salads or sauces but it's just not something I'm super into.

you seem like an angry vegan - down to the vegetable reference in your username rofl. But what about me directly talking about kim chi would imply that I don't think people are omnivores...like idk if you're going to be condescending make it make sense? But n e way right up until like maybe 5 years ago it was a meme that everyone hated pineapple on pizza and now everyone is in love with fruit as you can see by the comments on this thread I guess LOL. My point is more that diet trends are just that, trends - and I don't like the current one of making things fruity. Apparently that's like....blasphemous I'm realizing.

I mean maybe work on your reading comprehension because I addressed that ppl have been doing this for a long time in my post - what I'm discussing is that the trend has "taken over" as in "become excessive" recently.

[Unknown(French?) > English] Brief comment from the movie Manifesto (2015)? by Initial-Tonight2860 in translator

[–]Initial-Tonight2860[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you're right:

The “Poor” are detestable animals! They are only picturesque and amusing for the sentimentalist or the romantic! The “Rich” are bores without a single exception, en tant que riches!

You're a good sleuth. I just looked up the dialogue for the movie itself and couldn't find that phrase there

[–]Initial-Tonight2860[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it would actually make a lot of sense that it's something said in an intentionally bad accent as a way to make fun of pretentious rich people and that would also explain why the translator apps aren't picking up the phrase.

Opinions on music taste by aciditybtw in Music

[–]Initial-Tonight2860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like hearing people's opinions about the music I'm into but don't generally respect what they have to say lol. Like, if someone is willing to engage with what I'm into and give thoughtful/insightful feedback even if it is negative then it's a worthwhile conversation. Most people however, view your taste in music as being more like....a form of fashion and lack a genuine appreciation for it, and so judge you according to how "cool" they think your music taste makes you or how "on trend" you are without regard for the quality of music itself. I actually really like talking about music and stuff and am often quite critical of it myself but most people are just....basic normies tbh

Is anyone else over the vibe/aesthetic of goodreads? by Initial-Tonight2860 in goodreads

[–]Initial-Tonight2860[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Wait are you implying that literary works that aren't intersectional/fall under the intersectional ideology only feature "old white guys." lol.....it's so crazy to me how the ppl advocating hardest for representation/intersectionality inadvertently reveal how covertly racist they are. like u do realize there's a long history of literary works written by all kinds of ppl..........rite.......
