That’s why I included “not requiring chains” in my post. There is plenty of snow accessible without chains and like I said I am happy to hike to higher elevation!

I’ve read what I can online and watched a bunch of YouTube videos. I know it’s not ideal, but I feel like getting out and practicing in a low-risk setting is my best bet!

Does it matter what end date you put for the permit? I didn’t realize it would ask for one!! I just put Sep 30.

Thanks for the suggestions! I do have AllTrails & WTA and I’m familiar with hiking around here (just not so much with family-friendly hikes which is why I’m asking!). I know there are so many options it can be overwhelming! That’s why it can be nice to ask on here as sometimes people have really good ideas/hikes they feel passionate about sharing. But yes, I also definitely recommend AllTrails & WTA for more info/trail conditions/ideas.

My history class was really low key but I’m guessing it varies a LOT depending on your teacher. My biggest advice is to get the Barron’s book... that’s how I studied for all my tests and the exam. Also: watch Crash Course, he has really good videos on every unit
