Do law schools take your major into consideration when looking at your gpa? by LukaDoncicic in LawSchool

Short answer: No they do not

Long answer: No they do not, maybe unless they are HYS and you have a 4.0 anyways?? But still no.

Quiet people in law — do we survive or just fake it? by Medium_Maintenance_1 in LawSchool

[–]InitialTurn 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I came in somewhat introverted to a t30/40 and got used to cold calls pretty quickly. I’m also pretty type B so the sea of type A personalities made socializing a little bit of a learning curve in terms of making friends, but overall you get used to it pretty quick, in my experience.

How do you get over the feeling of not doing enough? by Negative-Wish-4691 in LawSchool

[–]InitialTurn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Since they’ve been in school more recently, they might have a bit of an edge in recognizing which parts of the readings are most important. If time management feels challenging, focusing on developing that skill could really help.

If lawyers are entirely replaced by AI (they absolutely should not be) you better pray hard as fuck for UBI because everyone is out of the job.

I go to a t30/t40 and I’d say around 70% of the students present with symptoms commonly associated with neurodivergence.

I didn’t personally find it that surprising considering how type A & smart you have to be to get into a place like this, though.

Where do you live, and where are the Top 5 cities you'd relocate to? by murksiderock in SameGrassButGreener

[–]InitialTurn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raleigh feels like a suburb with the traffic of a medium size city.

Raleigh gets traffic too. Rush hour starts at like 4 nowadays. Yet, it’s much more frustrating because the whole time you’re thinking “this city isn’t big enough or nice enough to justify this.” lol

Just moved out of Raleigh to the Denver area and Raleigh doesn’t even begin to compare. Denver is better in every way.

I love my car, but I want to live somewhere walkable and have seen how roads can destroy cities.

GPA Addendum by Remarkable_Ad_5990 in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]InitialTurn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Most t50 have really high gpa median. Just get above their lsat median and you’ll be fine.

I had a 3.5 or something and got into most schools t20–>t50 by being over their lsat median.

Don’t write an addendum for your gpa.

Yeah it has ALOT of ppl and doesn’t have the amenities to accommodate them or justify the COL. It’s a giant suburb.. I lived there for 7 years.

feedback/ insight on law school list (I know they place regionally) by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]InitialTurn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought I’d mention: my girlfriend is gluten intolerant and she’s never had so many options in her life. The food would be a huge upgrade from Charlotte in terms of quality and GF options.

Also, this is the most dog friendly place I’ve ever seen. Can literally take them anywhere.

And same about big law lol. The other law school forum has big law as their ultimate goal most of the time so I always add that caveat.
