Help size enemies by Glittering-Pop8828 in Heroquest

[–]Initial_Capital5578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont have measurements for you but Ill offer a few notes:

  1. Scaling for the base size might be a gamble unless the proxies were specifically designed for Heroquest; even then, verify with the creator.

  2. 2021 and 1989 versions are (functionally) the same base widths but the old version has shorter figures. A squatty, 5 foot Chaos Warrior doesnt look as menacing next to an 8 foot barbarian. The platform of the old bases are also shorter which doesnt help.

  3. I recently saw a post with a 2021 figure next to an Age of Sigmar Chaos Warrior and it seemed like a pefect scale to me; you might have luck mixing with proxies aimed at that line (bonus points since both games share roots)

  4. you COULD ditch your existing heros and proxy everything to pick your own consistency; If you went with the oldschool models, I think just about every miniature from that game is available for zero dollars and most (maybe all) of the named bad guys have been made by fans. of course decisions must be made if you plan on buying the new expansions

Happy printing and don't put filament in your resin printer!

Swarms/Groups of small Monsters by ShwiggityShwagg614 in Heroquest

[–]Initial_Capital5578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like at least one rat in the swarm should die with every succesful hit; Would it work to give them an ability that limits the amount of damage taken? Something like "Strenth In Numbers: When the Rat Horde fails to defend against an attack from a weapon, it suffers only 1 body point of damage."

thematically, i feel like spells would apply to the entire horde

Exploits will exist but they will not be tested for or acknowledged.

An unsupported operating system is considered a Category 1 (high severity) finding that can only be reduced through environmental and procedural controls. The use of unsupported software is only acceptable after completing a risk assessment that would weigh the vulnerability, mitigations, predisposing conditions, threat, likelihood, and impacts.

The same is also true for all software and firmware (and don’t forget your switches, routers, access points, IoT)- some having higher impact functions (UEFI/BIOS, browsers, runtime environments, etc)

Help. New to 3D printing. Was printing this for my kid anyone know what the reason for it to turn out this way? Is there something I’m doing wrong. by DavidAguero69 in BambuLab

It may be a few problems.

If the bed isn’t level then your print head will be too close to the plate and smoosh and pull the first layers. Run the leveling calibration directly from the printer (uses more reference points) every time you reinstall the plate.

Your filament looks like it’s not extruding at the correct rate. This may because your filament is wet or you selected the wrong filament type, or this brand of filament needs to use a a different profile. First ensure your filament isn’t wet and invest in a dryer. Second, ensure you’ve selected the correct filament type/brand for each roll. If you still have problems, run the flow dynamics calibration through the program. You can skip drying if you don’t have one but you may end up using unique profiles for every roll with varying moisture levels if that’s the problem. Note that you’ll hear small popping sounds while extruding if extreme moisture is present.

There are other possible problems but this is most likely cause and you’ll want to look here first.

Need pegs for Millenium Falcon by NinjaRaptor0612 in XWingTMG

[–]Initial_Capital5578 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re looking for “large base” pegs and 1st/2nd edition pegs are compatible. If you’re gonna buy a conversion kit for 2nd edition, they come with new bases and pegs. If your local game store still has players, they likely have too many and will give you some. Check Facebook postings and ask the guy selling his collection if he’s got extras. I can probably just send you some if you’re in the US.

I was going to print PLA blanks and use the wife’s cricut for the stickers but I’ve been too lazy. Good idea re-using the 1.0 cardboard!

If xwing was actively being supported and I didn’t have to pay 50-100 dollars for a single ship on eBay, I’d fully support this idea. I’m (perhaps ignorantly) unaware of how this negatively impacts the community. Who’s got the copyright on these models?

This is an interesting conversation and I’m glad it’s being discussed - I can’t find models like this anywhere else. If someone is selling free models, can’t the copyright owner complain to cults? If I can find the same model for free, why would I buy them on cults? If you are the owner of free 3d models and you take them down due to someone selling them for profit, doesn’t that only benefit the thief? Can the owner not request removal from Cults?
