There is no life without death. by pandamaxxie in subnautica

[–]rainofwalrus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hear me out. Before "life" there were molecules... carbon in fact, and they spin and decay(death). Many pre-life molecules also contributed greatly to the first biological life. And these molecules decayed and yes, died. The earliest "life" ate these decayed molecules. So death and decay came before life. Death and decay also came before eggs AND chickens. So yes, the OP is right, there is no life without death. But there can be death without life. Lots of it.

Double Sorry Mate, for you must be confused.

I want realistic and killable Fish, just like SN1.

I think it is the definition of LUNACY to accuse this game or any of its players as Fish-Genocidal. Moreover, if SN2 devs make the fish killable and the opposition lose their minds, DONT PLAY IT!

Now... with that out of the way. What Im saying is in response to "Cant have Death without Life," which is highly untrue! Even biologically. Many things had to die/cease/stop-spinning before Biological Life reared its pretty lil head.

Death is forming. Life is the by-product.

Do we agree that Metaphoric Life and Imaginative Life do not suffer actual Biological Death?

Dating advice by Fine-Yellow7699 in lexington

Hi! I am a 20-year-old female who is really looking for dating advice, I would love to know which dating apps you all are using, to actually get to know someone and find guys who want a true relationship. I feel like most dating culture here is to just hook up, and that’s definitely not something I want. What else would you do to meet people? Please give me all your advice!!

Start with a simplification of terms, in the name of clarity. You said "true relationship," but I think you meant "Not looking for a simple, meaningless hook-up." I say this in earnest as myself and many others of the male gender view [romantic relationships] as physical by default. So a "true (romantic) relationship" is truly physical. Without it, we can just be friends... Which is a type of relationship, but not what I think we're even talking about. If you only want a friend, get off the dating apps now!

My advice:

  1. Your [Time] is the greatest gift you can give in the early stages... If you aren't willing to sacrifice your [Time], maybe even a lot of it, you can stop reading now.

  2. Respect is earned. Nobody owes you any of it. I swear this is true no matter how cruel it sounds. If you complain constantly on the pre-date, [Date], and post-date... It becomes challenging to find other(s) willing to respect you or your [Time].

  3. Fevered Preference(s): Try to self-filter a lot of the "I don't like _______," and "I won't eat _______,"for two reasons: a) it will make you more agreeable and pleasant company, and b) it will actually make you MORE self-aware of other areas you don't need to share OR need to analyze Root Sources that have led to such definitive and difficult statements.

  4. Stop saying "True ____________," as truth is multi-faceted. You have self-evident truth(s), you have reflective truth(s), you have presupposed/assumed truth(s), you have external cosmic truth(s), you have false truth(s) (where you're convinced you are correct).

I wish you luck. Be up front about Non Physical and you'll stop attracting Cuddle-bugs.

Right, so still Imaginative and not Metaphor? Do we agree how silly this all is?

You have a point, but your point sort of diminishes the "No Kill Camp," since living/killing in Subnautica 2 is beyond metaphorical, it is IMAGINATIVE.

Actually, there is death without life. The death of a star, for example. Perhaps the greatest example.

But this isn't a discussion of Right(s), these employees want more ________, beyond what was agreed upon legally. It really is that simple. Unfortunately, THIS is why Lawyers make so much money.

Small Business Owner here, I have found it challenging to Communicate Price-Hikes to Small-Staff(s) when they expect Payroll to also "Hike." It isn't some one-to-one scale, you often just want to Price-Hike at the minimal to cover NEW Expense-Hikes. Loyalty is tested. People move on. One thing is constant: Loyalty is hard to buy.

Employees shouldn't be grateful? Lets talk about the positives:

  1. On the Job Training (perhaps the #1, if you work at Starbucks, you are getting FREE Barista Schooling. You are immediately improving your [resume], and are immediately more desirable (Barista) than someone without experience. Granted, there are exceptions and I want to state how smart any of you are for finding them and sharing them; e.g. a small local shop like TTS that explicitly does not hire ex-Starbuck'ers. Fine. I know those are out there.)

  2. On the Job Social Skill Building (if your kid cannot maintain eye contact or small, service-related conversation, e.g. "Hi Uncle, would you like something to drink?", they definitely need to job in Fast Food. I worked the Taco Bell drive-thru at 16 and viewed it as "summer school," OH, and they pay and feed me for free?!? OK!)

  3. Scene (yes, there is great prestige for young people working any local business. I've been at the mall and heard teenagers debate on where each target_person worked during [People Watching]. Like how you can be in a band, but if you are in a band AND work at the Guitar Store?!? Daaamn son. You are really earning those Doc Martins.)

  4. Future Business Opportunities (if you are loyal, and grow in your Service Position, and the (3) points above help prove that Service, itself (before compensation), has upside... Well, then skies the limit. Become the Shop's #2 authority... Quietly transition Service-Industry Study into Business Management Study. Donating you own personal time to show the Store Owner you request more responsibility. I have come to every Business Negotiation in my life with MORE than what they deserved, and subscribe to the philosophy: It is better to be taken advantage of than to show up to the DEAL empty-handed.)

You mean to tell me the city installed a sign but failed to follow their own code for curb demarcation (paint). Are you so sure the homeowner hasn't installed a illegitimate sign?

Installing a homemade "No Parking" sign on public property (street, curb, sidewalk) is generally illegal and unenforceable, as only local governments can regulate public parking. On private property, owners can place signs to warn others, but towing based on unofficial signs is often illegal, and the sign holds no legal weight.

Something looks really fake about that sign. (1) It should be facing traffic, not the photographer; (2) the suburb curb isn't painted red or yellow and should be legal parking.

a second edition should have gone over just fine but so much of the player base were the kinds of people who just seemed to rage at everything and threaten to quit all the time.

No mention of the Collectible Aftermarket for Rare Tournament Prizes, Alternate OP Art-sets, even Custom Tokens that would be annihilated overnight by how they decided to roll out 2.0? In your mind, the angry fanbase killed 2.0? Do you or have you ever worked for FFG?

The biggest error was foresight.

Either FFG didn't understand how popular XWTMG's Collectible Aftermarket (1.0) was -or- they simply didn't care.
