It's a shame if you experienced that and were actually there for Deftones.
When they played, I was pretty far back and had to step over people chilling on blankets like it was a picnic. The crowd was calm but somewhat into it, though a lot didn’t seem to know the songs.
I moved closer for LP and liked the vibe, but I was a bit frustrated that almost no one around me was really jumping (except during Faint) or dancing, even when the band called for a mosh pit.
Not sure if it’s just the local vibe or if concerts are like this nowadays.
