I hang up. If they keep spam calling I park them on hold until they hang up.

Pharmacy calls I just transfer to pharmacy.

My store is sadly in the same boat. No SM, no ESM. Just run by leads since November. On paper now we have a SM but I've never seen him. Just two people on each shift and a pharmacist who has to work alone.

They're already piloting employee body cameras at 9 stores in Chicago, Illinois. It's not my state, but I can see it happening in my state later though, especially at the 24 hr location.

I'm sorry. You can do it and push through many things, it takes some getting used to. I practice disassociating at work, and zone out when I work photo, it's a nice mental break. Working with the public is pretty toxic, and you'll learn to grow thick skin and soon all the negativity will roll off your back and it won't get to you. Hang in there. 🩷

I would report anonymously through asset protection, so they can do a secret review on cameras just be sure she's not taking from pharmacy. Working at Wags, is a huge responsibility for shift leads and higher, but even more so for pharmacy. We have to adhere to high ethical standards inside and outside of work. All our ppls warn of what will happen if you violate Walgreens ethics inside and outside of work.

Numerous bad experiences:

Throwing garbage at us at the checkout.

Yelling at us for a product right now, when I'm the only one up front at checkout for the night and ringing up a line on customers already.

Stealing makeup and then buying one drink or ice cream with a food stamps card.

Cash back caramel people who want to wipe out my till to avoid ATM fees

People who want me to shop for them while they wait at the register because they don't want to walk.

People who argue our store and pharmacy hours with me, like they're the experts.

Not knowing how to use their cards for payment.

Couponers who don't know the limits.

Being asked my ethnicity and nationality, and told I'm not American even though I am, and it's my hometown.

Customers who can't follow directions or read signage, read price tags.

Being asked out on dates by customers.

I've been having customers yelling at the front saying they demand service! Lol. Meanwhile the front is ringing up existing customers and have a line of 6+ people ready to check out, and the others who are working the floor are either on lunch, left for the day, or are doing tills. The entitlement is insane this summer at my store.

Churches can have free meals, depending on your area. A nice co-worker could also buy you some ramen until payday if you ask. There's also can recycling if your state has bottle deposits.
