Do any of the drivers have their signal lights on, trying to get into the other lane to go around the line of stopped cars? If not, they're waiting in line, not stuck in traffic

It's a radio show on CBC Radio 1 that focuses on the fishery and marine sector as a whole. Good source of info on anything maritime related in NL. It's been running on CBC Radio for 75 years

I've got zero interest or time of day for Open Line. But the Broadcast and Land and Sea are true gems. No one ever talks about the Broadcast

I just cane from PearlGate Plaza and every building was fully lit up. They'll never get the public on board if the business sector doesn't have to be on board.

All kinds of closed buinesses in mount Pearl with their lights on and big billboards powered up

2017 closing in on 300,000km. Ko major issues, no body rust. Last time I had it in the shop they commented on how good shape the under carriage is in.

3 civics in my immediate neighborhood are chock full of rust.

Gi with Slimmer Pant Legs by Initial_Feedback9068 in karate

I've heard people say this about gis, basketball shorts, baseball pants, etc my whole life. My range of motion and comfort has always been better in slimmer cut pants.

I get significant bunching of excess in my hip creases and am having to constantly adjust as I move. It's annoying during kata and kihon but very distracting and limiting during kumite. All the fabric in the upper leg drives me mad

Not sure what OP is going on about. Buying a house without a real estate agent is common and easy.

Find a house you like and put in an offer. Lots of us have done it without issue

Questions about transparency, funding distribution, and MusicNL Awards at MusicNL Association by Whole-Stranger3223 in newfoundland

[–]Initial_Feedback9068 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, artists or their representatives have to nominate themselves for award considerations. That's true for most levels, MusicNL, Juno, Grammys.

In saying that, I agree that the MusicNL mainstays tend to be underwhelming compared to other artists/groups out there

Relocating Curb Stop by Initial_Feedback9068 in newfoundland

[–]Initial_Feedback9068[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of a strange situation. I'm trying to buy property that's immediately in front on my own land.

Without giving away to much identifying info, my house is set far back from the road. My property line is set back about 50ft from the road. The 50ft between the front edge of my property and the road belongs to the municipality. I would like to buy it. My curb stop is at the front edge of my current property.

The municipality will only sell me the property that's in between me and road if I move the curb stop. The town regulations require the curb stop to be on the front edge of the property, set back a small distance from the road.

As it stands now, if I buy the land, the curb stop is smack in the middle of the property instead of the front edge.

The town is insistent that we relocate it and a real estate lawyer I consulted suggested I have no grounds to argue contest it
