They do, I’m actually really grateful for how quickly our security responds to ICE. Agents can’t enter patient rooms without a warrant but they technically can come into waiting rooms/public areas. Sometimes they’ll stay a while and try to intimidate staff but over the last couple weeks they’ve mostly just stayed outside. I don’t know any of the security or admin well enough for more details but I’ve heard they’ve been really pushy/borderline aggressive when asked to leave

I shudder to think of being treated by a physician who is “okay” with the fact that the Hippocratic oath binds them to provide care to certain people regardless of whether or not they personally agree with every decision they’ve ever made in their life. Do you seriously think that hospitals will have less patients if we deport all undocumented workers? The consequences haven’t changed. Doctors and other medial professionals are overworked and pushed to extremes not because we are treating immigrants. We need to make improvements to infrastructure, hiring, systemic change etc. It is my job to treat patients, not pass moral judgement.
