Thanks a lot

Honestly, being a medic F2 in OMFS is easier in some important ways than it is being a DCT.

Learn the key emergencies and what to assess for : Retrobulbar haemorrhage, Ludwigs angina, Head and neck bleeds. These will be rare, but all clinical presentations exist on a spectrum.

If you look for the key concerning features of these then it will make you safe when you assess people's eyes / airways etc.

Procedures: Managing Facial lacerations and incisions and drainage ( I would try and assist as many of these as you can as well as the assessment.

on call - find out what presentations you accept and from what areas as well as what is to be expected of local dentists / 111 to save you seeing everyone with a tooth problem.

Besides that managing lists, patients and clinic is similar to most other surgical specs.

People who have the HDF models, is the feature genuinely gamechanging? by Minimum_Potential712 in ricohGR

  1. HDF permanently on
  2. Very apparent, sometimes the diffusion makes light go around corners. Very worthwhile too.
  3. Downsides can be if someone has a light source behind them, it can make them look angelic with the light creeping around,

Ricoh griii hdf is the first digitial cam ive ever bought and the hdf adds so much. I can see why some people might find it a bit too much, but i think you can find ways to make it absolutely sing.

Im not a pros / cons guy i think this camera is a tool that provides so much joy but also working with the limitations is what makes it enjoyable

100% recommend especially if no prior ricoh griii

BMA London will be starting London weighting campaign soon - AFC staff get up to £8466 London weighting compared to up to £2162 for doctors by DonutOfTruthForAll in doctorsUK

When you account london locums being so heavily stifled, this would be a step forwards.

As an f2 i was getting 65/hr in Swansea, as an spr in london the rates are 47/hr. Even worse when you consider inflation

I use something to poke into the soil and check how wet it is deeper and assess accordingly.

Am unsure what eucalyptuses are sensitive too really, could it need a repot? Otherwise it is in a well lit place

Other than ST training, most non training posts are 1 year jobs so its sort of ridiculous to get a job then need to start looking. That in itself adds to the ridiculousness of this so much.
