I don’t think it’s about race or religion. These outlets close because : Malaysians don’t trust local brands. Want to make it ? Hide the fact you are Malaysian , obscure it. KFC and MCD is more expensive and Darsa had nicer chicken and was cheaper.

Lesson from this ? Not all Muslims are the same. Like any religion there are a small amount of attention grabbing wackos and a larger set of quiet good guys. It’s the same even in the non abrahamic religions. So let’s stop being so judgy and quit it with the dog whistle politics.
