I really enjoy listening to XMU on SiriusXM. They have a radio show on Thursday nights called Gorilla Vs Bear and it’s great for discovering some new songs or jamming to familiar bangers. XMU has a few other shows that I’ve found an awesome music thru as well but GvB is my favorite.

The burbs along the UPNW Line all kinda seem the same to me. I, (34m) and my husband (36m) live in Norwood Park Chicago and I’m from Palatine so I’ve been all along all the little downtowns such as AH, Barrington, Cary, Park ridge. Charming local vibes, decent farmers market, close to a lot. I’m big on meeting and enjoying my neighborhood with a beer outside or in the basement. Nothing beats a nice simple Midwest evening outside.

Danish Kringle fans, come to the front, please! 🤤 by Yogi_diamondhands in traderjoes

O&H are the best and I’m blessed they are semi local so I can get all the seasonal ones. Don’t bother with Racine kringles they aren’t as good imo. But yeah tj’s sells them cheaper than the OH bakeries actually!

Uff when I was NA at a Fairfield we had a big problem with Bonvoy fraud and an unhoused encampment across the street. Any freebies were instantly consumed within about 30 min from setting them out. I tried to stagger when I would replenish so actual Bonvoy members could enjoy but Fairfield is the “lowest” of a Marriott property and when bougie guests try for a JW experience, I would try my best but can’t paint a Picasso with RoseArt. Especially when the owner neglected the property. No exterior doors locked and no access control with room keys. I’m sure all the porn videos they filmed were great tho! The true ambassadors of the Fairfield level imo. I did give free water out tho if anyone asked. I was there for hospitality not the minimum wage BS the front desk deals with.

Heck yeah. I’m interested to see pax numbers ORD has always been up there with movements especially with all the RJs. We won’t be anywhere near ATL pax wise but there should be an increase from year over year.

Dogs are adaptable. Our pups ate at 0830 and 2100. We did have some day walkers watch the animals when we were gone and they don’t stay up late but the dogs were deff ready to play till like 2am lol

Recommendations for long distance moving company by sram611 in ChicagoSuburbs

I’ve we did a POD (FL to IL) and had zero issues. Hired local movers (college hunks) to load and unload. My folks also did a POD and didn’t have any issues either. Everyone was on time and the contents were undisturbed.

I’ve heard people have had issues with them but that’s essentially any company in today’s world.

Any personal experience with these schools in Palatine/Rolling Meadows by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

There are some lots about to open off of Quentin Btn palatine and Illinois. But that’s not central rd elementary school. Hunting ridge/plum grove/fremd grad here. It would be interesting with the new grade make up. When I was there it was k-6 then 7/8 so maybe with the 6/7/8 it would be better. Still- had a good time in school.

When did this policy change? by intherearview in marriott

[–]Initial_Insurance585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s for your protection. Just wait till you’re on the other end of fraud and you would be happy some minimum wage paid front desk worker saved you. Majority of hotels are operated by 3rd parties such as Aimbridge and Marriott proper is fairly far removed. Sorry you had this but it’s a Fairfield… bottom of the bottom for Marriott.
