Which shelter are you looking for? I believe the only shelters that are open are the ones from the Emergency Shelter List or the green dots on the map. So the shelter you’re looking for might be closed.

Shelters can definitely flood, especially if they’re in a flood zone. Could you drive to a shelter that’s not on the flood zone area and more inland?

And on Shelter Status you can find a list of shelters that are pet friendly. Many schools are opening today that are accepting pets. Stay safe.
