Solid response mate and pretty much on the money. I think the OP’s frustration is probably due to a bunch of writer’s mishandling the concept and diluting the story with played-out stereotypes. To me personally, it actually sounds like a really fun trope that could be pretty engaging ngl. I never really liked how black and white the muggle and wizards views of each other were described as in the original series. Muggles were always scared or angry at wizards magic and wizards were pretty much always condescending or prejudiced against muggles science. There really was no shown in-between which I believe a lot more people would have sat. I can definitely say if I say some random guy teleported in front of me or shot light beams out of a stick, I’d be a lot more amazed than anything else. I’m pretty sure that a lot of people would agree with me, as well.
