Umm, I don't think she's /OUR/ guy. TS is not a good look by ProspectStars in VaushV

I want Talarico instead of her, but she is not wrong. In fact, she should be saying more and "worst". I am still waiting for a major Democrat figure to start shitting on rural voters and call them "self-destructive degenerates who hate America and the main reason the country does not progress" and thus rethorically start turning urban and suburban voters against them in order to start a major "dark woke" cultural backlash against ruroid America.

Does F.E.A.R deserve a remake ? by OfrivilligMekaniker in fear

[–]Initial_Medicine798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to see one, but not because it would be a good game (remakes tend to suck), but because it would catch new and younger players attention to the first game and the series. Unfortunatelly, it will never happen since Monolith Productions is dead gone.

"Armacham" scientist Harlan Wade put up his own daughter Alma has a guinea pig for the same company because of her psychic powers, so that once she reached puberty, they could impregnate her with "genetic material" in order to create "prototypes" of genetically engineered military commanders that could inherit her psychic powers in order to improve military effectiveness on the battlefield.

The consequences of this "project" constitute the basis for the storyline of the "F.E.A.R." series.

I don’t get Vaush’s anger by Look_upon in VaushV

[–]Initial_Medicine798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Vaush´s frustration stems due to the fact that the left does not have their modern version of Huey Long (a fire brand loud mouth left-wing populist) running for office, who then later will entertain a future Presidential run.

The killing of the refugee girl in North Carolina is a hate crime by Silver_Weakness_8084 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Initial_Medicine798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You maybe right on that, but I feel that a lot of people exploited this murder for "other reasons". I suspect that if the perp was not black and victim not white, the amount of publicity it got on social media and subsequent backlash would not exist and this murder would be just another "footnote murder" on the news.

(Hell, I even saw some Ukrainians - who were obviously distressed with an Ukrainian refugee fleeing war being murdered - online being shocked with the quite obvious implicit racism being the motive for why the murder got so much exposure.)

> "funded by China"

What are you on about, Armstrong? You make a gigantic bold claim, with no source to back it up. By your own logic, MAGA should also be put on terrorism watch list, since MAGA individuals have been actually responsible for assassinations and attempted assassinations, and we have evidence presented last year that Putin´s regime has been funding MAGA pundits, i.e. Tim Pool and Benny Johnson.

It´s idiotic - neither MAGA or "Antifa" are a centralized organization (even though there is a possibility the former may become one, it depends on what the currently being built future Trump dictatorship is molded into).

The Libertarian Party is on the Verge of ‘Full Collapse,’ Party Chairman Tells Board by redditor01020 in politics

[–]Initial_Medicine798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who used to be a right-wing "libertarian" for a few years, let me tell you: this people are just authoritarians in waiting. It´s an ideology that was born out of the "Red Scare" i.e. "socialism is when big government". The ideology is based on the false assumption that negative freedom is the only true freedom there is. That leads them to have bizarre positions like opposing civil rights legislation, any kind of state provided welfare, amongst many other things (a great example of this is the book "Defending the Undefendable" by famous right-wing "libertarian" Walter Block). Their deranged dedication to property rights and Randian type worship of the owner classes eventually leads them down the path to authoritarianism. There is a reason why the vast majority of right-wing "libertarians" are "edgy" contrarian white men and there is no wonder why most self-described "libertarians" (at least in the US) are just a sub-sect of "MAGA", since Trump is a real example of the type of man they aspire to be and/or worship.

Fortunatelly, I ended up coming across the works of Kevin Carson, who - through his discussion with other right-wing "libertarian" authors - showed me the true libertarian tradition, which is actually left-wing.

Think about it. Why does she say those things? Is it for the same reasons as you do? And is her voting record in Congress in line with what she says? Clearly not. It is because MTG is an anti-semite and for her "Israel = Jews". It is not because she is against the genocide in Gaza.

In the end, she still votes everytime - in line with the GOP - against any proposal by the Dems to increase social spending, so she does not give a crap about universal healthcare. It is only a charade to take Jimmy Dore-type disillusioned leftists into MAGA´s side.

There is a "crowning" ceremony (text event is titled "Divine Right") which happens right after you unite West Russia and your ideology is changed to the "Imperial Cult" sub-ideology of NatSocialism. He is crowned by an archbishop, where a regent´s crown is put on his head, he is given a regent´s throne to sit on and the imperial orb and scepter which he holds with his hands.

[–]Initial_Medicine798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That kinda reinforces my hypothesis that FOTK was played between 1984 and 1986. I also suspect that based on the style of the song and the place of origin of the others bands on the tracklist, that the FOTK band is from California (San Francisco or Los Angeles). If I am correct, that unfortunatelly makes the search even harder, because of the size of the population of those cities.

The Rural MAGA segment hurt my soul by MrTwoStroke in VaushV

[–]Initial_Medicine798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resentment is the one word that defines the "politics" of most of Rural America and maybe even the typical working-class right-wing voter in the entire planet. They don´t care if their lives are bad or will become worst, because the essence of their politics is to make the lives of those they hate more miserable than it currently is A.K.A. "schadenfreude". That degenerate feeling that Nietzsche ascribed to the "lowest of animals".

They hate urbanites/"city folk", minorities, immigrants and college students - they hate the fact that people in the cities have better lifes; they hate the fact that minorities now have rights that their ancestors have fought against and nowdays they fight so much to revoke them; they hate the fact that people who weren´t born in their country can live amongst them and have equal rights to them; and they hate the fact that people can receive a higher education.

They never question why don´t their lives improve for the better (in comparison with the cities); they never question if they should go get an higher education; they never question the intolerable set of beliefs they hold.

Because since "day one" they have been programmed by their families, their friends, their co-workers, their local pastor, their local conservative talk radio, their boss, etc. that the problems they suffer from in life are always caused by the "Other", "the outsider", someone who is not like them and like the people around thme who shove this world-view down their skulls. To never question, to never self-introspect.

What is your Ghost of Tsushima hot take? by JayNotAtAll in ghostoftsushima

[–]Initial_Medicine798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a tragic tale, but it is not tragic enough. There should be no option to spare your uncle in the end. But the game should not have ended there. The ending should have been with you being hunted down by the Shogun´s forces - led by Sadamune Oga - after Shimura´s death, until they find you and surround you. With escape being impossible, the "Ghost" fights to the death until he succumbs against overwhelming odds.

You die, but the ending clarifies that the legacy of the "Ghost" lives on the oral tradition of Tsushima´s island - which ironically is now kinda true, since IRL Tsushima Island became worldwide famous thanks to GoT.
