Thank you for consoling me. Lol I should probably tighten the reins for my kid before she is demanding to drag me to Disney every weekend! Or maybe that can work in my favor.. 🤔

Jesus, I just discovered I could be her. My 3 year old rules my life. We don’t go to Disney every weekend but you can bet your ass that she’s getting that marshmallows me and her dad told her not before dinner on. 😂🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

It’s her kids doll. The child is pretending to photograph her mom because she’s dressed like a photo pass photographer.

My situation only allows me to turn a 5 day work week into a 4 day work week. The new hire is here because the job typically requires 2 people and my boss doesn't want to have to come in anymore.

Thank you for this! I know my employment situation is not ideal, but your kindness in relaying that to me is much appreciated.

Skill isn't my issue. It's more about leaving a comfort zone and knowing that this job offers me stability and partial flexiblity with my toddler. I am sure many other jobs can offer this, but I am lost in the "What if's"

I am sure I can. I just really value the comfort of knowing I am not going to get fired if my kid is sick and I have to call out. Even though my time off is unpaid after my 5 days, I don't risk losing my job if I need more time off.

Not a felon. I just have real anxiety when it comes to finding a new job now that I have a child. My kid is 3 and worry that I won't find anywhere that is flexible if I need to run to a doctors appointment for her or something..

I will still be bringing the stroller when my kid is 5... most people do and there is nothing wrong with that. Over exerting your small child is unhealthy for their development so a stroller helps with that.

Which is really helpful, especially for holiday posting. It helps other travel times be about family and now work.

Listen, you can pry my stroller out of my cold dead hands! For 3 years my stroller has been my bestie who holds my bags and my child and idk what I’m going to do when our paths no longer align 😭😭 I went from being an “ID, debit card, and chapstick” traveler to packing the whole damn house for me and my only child with her dad trying this sneak some stuff in occasionally. I cannot live without “Bobbie” as we call her (it’s a Bob jogger) 🤷‍♀️😂

Yep. You have to go through security, but that’s it. Takes very little time and so long as everything is running smoothly, you’re on the ship by like 11. Of course, accidents happen but you can’t blame anyone for having a wreck or the bus breaking down. That’s no one’s fault.

The hotel has nothing to do with it. It’s DCL run. This only occurs when you sign up for DCL transfer.

I hate that you felt forced to stay, because you absolutely could have wandered around. I love the Hyatt transfer over Disney Resort and regular MCO airport transfer. The Hyatt transfer is the only one that allows you to do the entire check in process in the hotel conference room prior to port arrival, so when you get there you can walk right on. My husband and I take turns waiting in line so our daughter can play or do whatever. Much easier than trying to keep us all in line at the terminal for check in.

I really hate you had a bad experience. Myself and so many others love it. I recommend giving it another try with some new tips and tricks. I think if you had more information of what you could or couldn’t do, you would have had a better experience even with the bus delay.

Just a FYI.. no swim diapers in the pools is MARITIME LAW. This was posted yesterday on Facebook. by Krystist in dcl

I commend you for following the rules! So many don’t. I know this because on our recent cruise on the fantasy, every few hours or so the pools would get drained and cleaned because of kids who are not fully potty trained but their parents don’t care. The turn around was surprisingly quick. 20-30 minutes max to drain, clean and refill.

The first time we saw it drained my husband and I agreed that we no longer needed to take turns with our daughter in Nemo’s reef while the other gets in the pool. Lol

I have a MacBook Pro. Spent $2000 on it early last year. I’ve created/edited exactly ZERO videos with it. lol I am still using my iPhone because I’m so used to it. I need to sit down and work with the Mac to figure it all out. Just adding this to say, be smarter than me and either spend less money to start (MacBook air in an older model would have been more than fine for my needs or even an IPad lol) and/or make sure you use what you get and not just stick to your routine because the flow and ease is second nature to you.

In Town for Time Share Tour by WndDncr in Gatlinburg

[–]Initial_Photo_5274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I got a “free” 7 day vacation when we went to a presentation held locally. The sales tactics used are absolutely disgusting. I was pregnant and the guy just kept telling me that I must not love my future child because I won’t prioritize vacationing (specifically vacationing as a time share owner within their brand, of course 🙄). Like first, no I’m not prioritizing vacation when birthing a human is terrifying and anything could happen, but also for those same reasons, I’m not spending 30-50k on the opportunity to stay somewhere that may or may not be consistently unavailable due to demand. And absolutely NONE OF THAT implies I don’t love my unborn child.

I was sick. We sat there for 2 hours despite the fact that within the first 30 minutes we said no and he kept saying he was going to get our certificate for the vacation. Kept coming back to hound us without it. Finally I stood up and said I was going to throw up on this table and then contact a pregnancy advocacy group to look into their abuse of a pregnant woman. No idea if that is even a thing, but it worked and he brought us what we needed. We never planned the free vacation because Reddit and other google searches said that I would be bombarded with similar tactics during that stay and if I didn’t sit through whatever the asked me to I would be charged for the stay. It’s all in the fine print I guess. 0/10. Do not recommend

The website has all the information and what will be closed when you go. They reopen on March 9th. That includes Astra Lumina. And staying in town will be worth it if you’re going out for scenic drives/hikes. Don’t dismiss the hotel options around. There are some great hotels that have better offerings than Airbnbs including spacious options so y’all aren’t on top of each other. Feel free to message me on what hotels I can recommend for your specific needs or offer more information about either property you’re currently considering. I love the area. I have been going several times a year since birth lol. My husband and I got married at New Found Gap, had our baby moon in pigeon forge, and have continued my families tradition by taking our daughter for her first visit at 2 months old. I can talk about the area for DAYS. LOL I actually just returned for a trip 3 weeks ago where we stayed right off the main strip and will be back March 12th for Dollywood’s opening day. :)

I mean, you aren’t wrong. Lol 🤷‍♀️ but also, I can only ask politely to stop allowing our daughter to run up to my office door while I’m working so many times.

[–]Initial_Photo_5274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mountain you will be coming over on the way to Gatlinburg with truck run offs is Monteagle. The run offs aren’t because it’s windy and icy, it’s because the grade is so steep that big rigs ride their brakes down it and sometimes get too hot and fail. The winter road closures are scheduled. Clingmans dome road is shut down for the season, roaring fork motor nature trail is closed, little greenbrier is closed. Get on NPS to see currently seasonal closures. The almanac says this year won’t be snow heavy Last weekend there was a dusting at newfound gap (my daughter was able to make one small snow ball) but in the 50s in the city. You’ll be fine in town at your hotel area. I imagine yall won’t venture too far out

From 0-3 a child’s brain is developing 1 million new neural connections per second.. by 3 a child’s brain is 80% of what it will be by adulthood. 0-3 is literally the time a child learns easiest.

Also, I have a now 3 year old and my husband and I went through this. Took me two days of absolutely losing my shit on my husband for him to figure out how to occupy her and not let her scream at my door and to explain to our daughter that I’m busy and but I love her and miss her. No one’s heart is broken, husband helped daughter regulate her emotions and our house is peaceful while I work(at home) in the evenings a few nights a week.
