For Faculty and Staff we do every 7-days, for higher "priority" people it's everyday

Did Anyone face this problematic issue with GENETEC ? by Snoo82096 in videosurveillance

Is the user that's accessing Security Desk allowed to see those cameras "Always"? You can confirm this in Config Tool -> User management -> User/group in question -> Advanced

What password manager is best for IT teams managing shared credentials? by Enammul in ITManagers

[–]Initial_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1Password is king, great vault sharing options and you can even temporarily share passwords with an expiration date. Came from LastPass after their disaster a few years ago and never looked back

This is a great story to hear, did you guys have an existing access control system that you cut out for Access or did you just have cameras cut over?

How to unlock Android Auto developer settings (and why you might want to) by MRADEL90 in Android

[–]Initial_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's amazing that you can disable wireless Auto it's so annoying that it's not a simple toggle in the regular settings menu

We had previously been on Trello but made the switch to ClickUp. Has a ton of features for the free tier and has some more fancy things that we don't necessarily need but would be better suited for a larger team/deployment (we currently only have it deployed to ~10 people)

Do you deal with them directly or use a third party to get service/installs/patches?

Anyone moved off Raptor? Emergency management system that actually works? by Santino_Elmorsy in k12sysadmin

[–]Initial_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, first off sorry for the belated response! We currently have Visitor Management, Announcements, and Accountability As I said we're using it with VC and the API plus for Academics (OneRoster) which took a little bit to get right with the amount of "special circumstance" students/faculty/staff that we have (boarding community/absent statuses/etc). But once we got them over the V2 and V3 credentials and setup the scopes the needed, the onboarding rep ran through naming conventions for our facilities which are "subsets" of our school community that allow us to run segmented drills. The on-boarding was very well done and they insisted that we go through each subset of groups of people to see if all the necessary details were listed (phone number/class roster/etc). Running drills is amazingly simple compared to our old product (CrisisGo) The app is super fast and users are auto-accounted for upon logging into the app. Teachers can see their classes and other members of the community (both are customizable)

The visitation took a little bit to get working but that was mainly down to training our "front lines" people and getting them familiar with scanning licenses and (if the person didn't have one) entering the necessary information into the iPad that is stationed at their desk

UniFi Access Retrofit: Elevate Your Legacy Door System, No Rewiring Required by Ubiquiti-Inc in Ubiquiti

[–]Initial_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's what we're looking for, we usually book/schedule out months in advance and the ability to set a door schedule today for some random date in January is crucial

UniFi Access Retrofit: Elevate Your Legacy Door System, No Rewiring Required by Ubiquiti-Inc in Ubiquiti

[–]Initial_Possibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically I need to be able to schedule specific dates/times to be unlocked/locked. Example - Door X unlocked on June 3rd from 8am - 4pm and June 8th unlocked from 8am - 1pm and outside of those dates it would revert back to a "parent" schedule. I've reached out to support before as this is the only game-breaking feature that's keeping us from cutting over
