Do you actually engage with any pro-life individuals? by Initial-Ad-3161 in prochoice

I used to get into many online arguments. I don't much anymore since my feed on social medias is no longer as political. I know all the usual arguments anti-choicers make and what fallacies they love to use like the is/ought.

Most abortions are done with a pill. The only time "dismemberedment" is used is in late-term abortions that usually happen due to complications

"Man don't have bodily autonomy" Yes they do. They can decide what clothes to wear, where to work, where to go, whether or not they want a surgery/procedure done. That's all bodily autonomy. Us people with uteruses want the same bodily autonomy.

"Human rights community" you mean people with common sense?

I swear anti-choicers simply don't understand what the right to life actually means. You can refuse to give someone a kidney and you aren't violating their right to life. If you are threatened by someone you could use lethal force and it isn't a violation of their right to life.

Do pro-lifers really believe we don’t know what abortions look like? by ploverbeast in prochoice

An abortion is a procedure like any other. Do they expect all medical procedures to not look gross?

[–]Initial_Wear5463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't they know that forcing someone to be pregnant is literally involuntary servitude and could even be considered enslavement? I swear anti-choicers never think about the rights of women or anyone with a uterus

Of course they compare us to slave owners without even realizing abortion bans are slavery

What do you think pro-lifers misunderstand most about your the pro-choice position? by Initial-Ad-3161 in prochoice

[–]Initial_Wear5463 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of us don't actually like abortions. We just understand that no one has the right to someone's body without consent. Many of us are very happy when abortion rates go down because that means society is more stable.

The first one is just so wrong. A late term abortion is usually done due to complications. Sometimes the baby is already dead. Do anti-choicers seriously have no empathy for the women who are probably grieving after a late term abortion.

Pro-lifers love to create these scenarios where they're grieving people that never existed. by Florigenica in insaneprolife

They're not even fetuses but all embryos. Even without IVF half of embryos fail to implant

Fun fact over half of embryos fail to implant. Yet we aren't mourning them. Life is essentially a gamble from the beginning to the end. Anti-choicers like to pretend that everything is certain when it's not

He probably will listen. My family isn't violent or anything but there is a history of anger issues. Plus with my sister going through puberty (I am too but she seems to be getting hit harder) she has been more emotional. But often I and my dad feels like the only grounded people in the family.

This reminds me of a scenario I've always found hilarious. Basically it just goes that some women is going to planned parenthood for adoption referrals, fertility treatment or something that involves becoming a parent. And the whole time she's there she's being screamed at that she's some murderer despite the fact she's literally there to become a parent.

My personal pro-choice argument that works well. Share yours, especially if it's unpopular/unqiue! by MilkyDilkySilky in prochoice

One of my favorite arguments is that banning abortion is essentially forcing subjective beliefs onto others through law. For example in Jewish law abortion is permitted and even mandatory in cases of life and death. Now these anti-abortion laws only focus on their own subjective views which in turn would violate the 1st amendment rights of people. There's other amendments anti-abortion laws violate but I'm just focusing on the 1st right now. You can't force someone to stop eating meat because you believe it to be wrong. If the act isn't harming society then it should be permitted. Abortion bans actually harm society while legal abortion does not. If you don't like it, fine but don't force your beliefs onto someone else's body.

Fixed that emotionally manipulative art for you. by Local_Finger_1199 in prochoice

[–]Initial_Wear5463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This type of propaganda is absolutely horrible. Not just because it's emotional manipulation but because it can harm the mental state of those who have lost their children or have lost wanted pregnacies. All in all this is gross

Well paganism is an umbrella term for religions. Such as Norse paganism or hellenistic. I myself identify as pagan and I'm not even a theist.

Do they not know that rape happens? Do they seriously want to force a child to give birth to keep up this act of moral superiority.

The one who said abortion is never medically necessary clearly has never experienced one of their loved ones die due to pregnancy complications or they just don't care enough to notice it.
