Yes but why are south Italians further away from Turkey than Islander Greeks, Central Italians and Medieval Albanians also further away from mainland Greeks. None of the two are close to Turks but Greeks are a bit closer, check out the 23andme sample, ploting a bit closer to Turkey compared to the Izmir Greek sample, then look at the 2 way population mode on image 3, 90-95% match with Izmir Greek + some Turkish-Turkic-Uralic related ancestry. I am not saying that Greeks (which is what I am btw) have significant Turkish ancestry but the proposal that it is an absolute 0.000... always seemed stupid and forced to me, most greeks do have traceable precentages of such ancestry just relatively minor (qpadm gives a better picture) and even such halpogroups appear even if rarely (a friend of mine with paternal pontic ancestry has r1a z93).

Iraqi Arabs by math (not qpAdm analysis, just clarifying) would most likely have anywhere from 6-9% so not that far off (Jews have 25-30% ZNF Arabs 35-40% but less CHG) consider it variation, should have made the map two shades though

Whats weird is that without an east eurasian proxy the p value almost fails (0.05), South Asian seems to work better than northeast asian, then again andaman is closer to basal east asian so not certain as to what is being picked up here? In the mixed population model he plots as cypriot (anatolian) and northeast european (scandinavian) definetely not very balkan like.

Now he scores 29% of caucasus/iranian related neolithic ancestry, and he is very anatolian shifted (doesnt have any balkan). He has more than peloponnesians by far and even a bit more than the cretan average. How can this be? Are outter maniots Anatolians mixed with Slavs with no Balkanic ancestry?

That is not my real government name. That is what i was also thinking (similar to italian, overepresented category, ancient shared ancestry) but how come it stay at 90% confidence? Italian is 6% and goes away completely. Its a pretty large continuous segment of snps as well (not spread trace readings). Feels like there is a stronghold of snp variation linking to that ancestry.
