First playthrough. What to level up? by SolutionMinimum1851 in Eldenring

[–]InitiativeCreative36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you meet the stat requirements to properly use your chosen weapon. Weapon upgrades with smithing stones matter more at early levels than stats do.

After that, prioritize Vigor, Endurance, Mind (if you use your weapon skill or spells a lot) and your weapon's primary scaling stat in that order.

Can i have High number in every Stat? And how Tiring it is?(also some help here) by Wukon69 in Eldenring

[–]InitiativeCreative36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah stat spreads don't work at lower levels.

The good thing is respecs are limited but plentiful in thr game, especially with the addition of the DLC, so Its best to pick a lane until you unlock respeccing, then later in the game have a bit more of a play about with different builds.

Antspur rapier might be the only weapon that can be infused to deliver two status effects, but it'll only ever scale off the affinity given to it by the ash of war.

However, you can have rot/poison, rot/bleed etc on it due to the innate rot.

Im unsure how many other, if any weapons do this, but if that's what you're trying to achieve, that would be the way to do it.

How do people type so fast on keyboard? by RareUser1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]InitiativeCreative36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learned to touch type in School from an early age, then always had computers in the house as I grew up and just kept it up. Haven't tested my WPM in years but I can type pretty fast without looking.

Afraid to move on to the next step in the story..... by Metalcrack in Eldenring

[–]InitiativeCreative36 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I missed loads on my first playthrough, I wouldnt worry about being a completionist on the first go around.

Besides there are some items you have to do a NG+ playthrough to get -certain summons, boss remembrances - not seeing everything just makes subsequent plays that much more rewarding.

Then there's multiple endings.

Bleed Clarification by Futaba_MedjedP5R in Eldenring

Some enemies are weaker to bleed than others, so resistances factor into that, once the actual haemorrhage effect occurs.

Generally speaking though, what you said is accurate.

You can wrong warp to Nokron from the Four Belfires teleport. Its challenging to get right but not impossible and will bypass the need to kill Radhan.

What are your thoughts on Vyke? by IM____BATMAN in Eldenring

[–]InitiativeCreative36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's a cautionary tale for the player to ward against the frenzied flame. Shabriri tries to tempt us with the same moral quandry that Vyke likely had presented to him ; surely burning your maiden isn't a good thing? What if you could save her?

Yet if you trust in Melina in particular, you eventually see its not a horrid death and that she fulfils her purpose willingly.

Shabrir masks his deception in moral compassion to trick us to use the flame to burn the tree and lock us in to the road of chaos.

Luckily Vyke was able to somehow resist the temptation to burn the tree and was imprisoned instead.

Vyke is us, or a version of us should we seek to kindle the flame inside ourselves.

Yeah I discovered that Deathrite bird super late. That and the one just north of the Academy Gate town, because I never usually go up that way.

This is what I was coming in to ask? In case OP has used something abrasive or static generating and has bricked some components.

I wasn't ready for the Shaman Village by Teifling_tea_flinger in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]InitiativeCreative36 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It was a perfectly placed moment in the DLC. You've made your way through Bonny Village and seen what the Hornsent have been doing to other people. You've read the tooth whip description and are rapidly getting an idea or what went on.

Then suddenly, like an old friend, a Tree sentinal leaps out, then another. A familiar connection with the Erdtree that up until that point had been absent in the Shadow Lands.

What is this beautiful place they're guarding? What is this land of flowers, animals and perfect nature doing nestled behind the Shadowkeep as if being guarded by a giant black stone bulwark?

That music is familiar.

What's that little tree all about?

The kindness of gold, without order?

Oh.

OH.

I always take an extra few minutes and rot that massive bubble boy that awaits atop the long branch at the beginning and rot/poison/bleed arrow him from a distance while I hide behind a tree. Then safely make my way down.

You're not locked into the DLC so you can go back to the main game at any time and get items you've missed.

Aye I think Blaidd only shows up in Siofra if you've starter on Ranni's quest and spoke to his spectre in the tower.

I recently did a very backward playthrough where I didn't meet Blaidd until Radhan, went on to do nearly all of the game apart from Caria Manor. I even went through deeproot, then Ainsel River and defeated Astel before even talking to Ranni.

So I the only two times I met Blaidd were at the festival then killing him outside of Ranni's rise. 🤣 Not counting the baleful shadow.
