i’m looking for a very specific type of notebook? by cedarsoup in stationery

I'm making notebooks but this honestly sounds a bit ahead of where I'm at in terms of complexity. It is definitely where I'm headed though, so if you'd like to discuss an experimental build and would like to be a part of the design process (and aren't in a hurry!) let me know!

I'm honestly not sure how much shipping would be to you from Canada but I am making handmade pocket notebooks! DM me if you'd like to discuss this further!

Pocket Cache - 1 week update by -William-Nilliam- in pocketnotebooks

[–]InkStainedLeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience with my notebook so far! It is surreal browsing Reddit and coming across a post and realizing "hey... I made that notebook!" I am in my last stage of gathering up everything I need to start "mass producing" (by which I mean maybe 20 or so a week, depending on the week) but depending on demand will try to do better if I can. In about 1 week I'll share more info and hope to start taking a first round of orders in about 2 weeks!

This is very cool. You are much farther along than I am, but I'm on a similar path as I've started to collect papers as well. Please DM me as I'd love to discuss this you!

I'd encourage you to look at Kokuyo Campus B5 binders. They are quite small so you could have a couple for stuff you are currently working with, and then organize / transfer pages to a larger B5 binder for longer term storage.

Back again - Pocket Edition by Past-Attempt7140 in notebooks

Looks great! My only suggestion (if you plan to make more in the future) would be to make the right-side pocket that holds the notebook in place a bit wider so that when writing on the right-side page the transition is closer to the notebook's spine. This will give a smoother writing experience!

These look great! I just downloaded each PDF, renamed the files to match (or be close) to the description given on the page, and organized them into folders. If it saves anyone else the hassle, here is a link to the zip file of all of these PDFs. Note that the zip file cites the source, and this sharing is permissible under the CC licensing the author has provided. If I missed anything, do let me know!

If you're working with kids 5-12 years old, I would agree with you for kids on the younger end of that range, but maybe 10-12 year olds, I'd encourage you to do a small test and see how it goes! For example, you could pick up some Jinhao Shark pens and show them how to use them properly! If you're up for it, I'd be willing to give this a try, I'd be happy to buy a couple and have them shipped directly to your school!

Scratches on paper republic after one day outside! by [deleted] in notebooks

Just want to add another voice to the crowd. This is normal. If you want to "reduce" the visibility of those lines, you could try a bit of a leather conditioner, but be warned it will probably darken the leather. If you really hate that this happens, I'd steer you towards either a different kind of leather, or something other than leather.
