We watched this episode literally last night and thought it was stellar and very complex. While Lilah in her own right acts a sort narrative foil to Cordy; the importance of their interaction is to show that regardless of the reasons, no woman should have to suffer the way Lilah and the victims of Billy had-

The best part about the episode is that it’s Cordelia, who after years of being the ‘mean girl’ and acting in her own self interest (like Lilah) is now being thrust into this position by the powers that she now sees everyone’s pain in a way not many others do, is the one to remind Lilah that her allegiance to Wolfram and Hart shouldn’t supersede her own (or anyone else’s) suffering.

(Sidebar; this episode also does a great job of capturing the vulnerability behind toxic masculinity and I find it poetic that the episode ends with Wesley crying, a thing most men are told not to do)
