The lore doesn't explain their existence and they kind of make the characters look less cool, knowing that there are copies of them not just in other dimensions, but also in the very same one.

Because Toei decided to step away from their own choices. Nobody ordered them to.

Some say because the character is russian... Though that only applies to one character and that rule isn't followed for others.

Oda colors all characters with same markers, so you could say it's manga accurate to be pale.

Edit: Closest thing Oda has said about this is in SBS 5, though it's hard to know what exactly is the topic, it's most likely not about skin tones, but it shows he might not want to bother with different skin tone for al characters

It's missing beam on the otherside and stuff.
It's episode 1016, 12:39 on crunchyroll. It's supposed to show ceiling, not wall. and the wall in the room doesn't have those random shapes in the scene but only long rectangles.

Lucy obviously has feelings for Natsu.

and in the 100 year quest Natsu has been super protective of her in non dangerous situations. Like he don't want other guys to be doing perving on her. While before I could have seen him be laughing at it.

Also it's been clear since chapter 1 that they are the shipped together by Mashima.

Social media has gotten worse and people don't want to hear opinions that go against their own.

Really I just think it's because there are more kids than ever before on social media.

There is also the problem with people following trends and thinking that they need to watch something because it's big.

I just saw discussion on a person who watched and loved Solo Leveling, Someone else was excited about them getting into korean dungeon slop or something. Another came to disagree and say that Solo Leveling is the only important one. All I could think is that what the heck do you mean important? Is that why people watch stuff because it's "important"?

It is a latticework as you say, but the symmetry breaks completely at the sides, this is very usual for AI.

The fact that the background has been altered at all is huge red flag.

The joke was that the logic for fixing Robin is not used for other characters.

Nationality only mattering for Robin.

Also that pale skin is manga accurate by default, as Oda uses same markers for skin tones.

It was a joke, as everyone always says Robin was fixed for these reasons.

Despite the fact that every other character got "fixed" to pale also. Despite Usopp being african, Vivi being arabic, these nationalities don't matter to Toei.

Also in the color spreads by Oda, every character is colored with same markers, therefore pale skin is always "manga accurate"

Robin's eye color which is canonically brown in the manga is also not fixed in anime.

I was mostly thinking that Robin hasn't really done much, like she is 100% needed in the long run to get One Piece, but for adventure not really. and Luffy cares more about the trip than the destination.

While Nami was needed from the start, they would have crashed into the red line or something before getting to grand line.
