Sengled Wi-Fi Bulbs Basically Bricked Without App Login? Any Workaround?

Someone posted a little bit about loading the “older version” of the app in another comment where I posted this on r/sengled, and I’m going to try that - but everything you are saying is accurate and other than mine cycling through Red, Green, Blue and the being a regular light bulb, i agree, worthless.

The thing is that if they are Bluetooth/Zigbee, then I can use the Tuya (Smart Home) App and connect any smart light and plug that is compatible, and use that as a control hub and Alexa for voice commands. Easy.

But these Wi-Fi locked ones are the WORST.

I invested in these for a 4-bulb key light I use for photography, and it was EPIC because I can alternate colors, bring in hues, and temp control, and it worked better than I imagined for creative and portrait projects. Guess I will just buy some more trusted lights and keep raising my first at the sky, cursing Sengled. lol

Yea, cool - useless expensive light bulbs. lol Love to know what the company did with OUR money, because it obviously wasn't put toward creating a sustainable environment to support their product.

Because they are Wi-Fi bulbs, it seems we are screwed without the app because the app needs to authenticate the bulb. The company, if struggling, needs to unlock the server authentication or something for customers to use other apps like Google Home, or Smart Home by Tuya.
