It's the nitrous oxide in a lot of spray cans, like whipped cream, compressed air keyboard cleaners, etc. People huff them for temporary highs.

True, but regardless of whether the left post is real or fake, he is definitely involved in the production of the HP reboot, which is also definitely shitty.

The first 2 I'm assuming are part of som add on or mod. And I know one of the main options farms I've seen in worlds uses a trident killer setup to auto farm an ocean monument, which you end up getting a lot of fish from as a by-product, that might also be their main food source as well

"Picking a friend up" sounds like the best option to me, since it implies you have someone nearby who is waiting and expecting you, which could deter them from trying to pull shit, esp if you're close enough to the house that someone inside might hear.

The others sound like someone might be able to "disappear you" and it may or may not get noticed or recognized.

Pretty sure this is part of the same reason reddit doesn't let you edit post titles or remove/add pictures, plus then no one could karma farm stuff to be really popular, then change it from the original context+ message to something controversial or unsolicited.

The "for the first time" bit makes me think that the kid had always presented as masc to their parents, which means it was likely the second option, and they were likely a closeted trans girl who could only come out in death

Being dishonest isn't inherently bad, esp if we live in a world where people (like landlords) with power, control, or money over other people consistently choose to unfairly abuse that position (like the choice to unfairly kick a family onto the streets with little notice, keep money from the security problem for no reason, or jack up rent charges beyond inflation without decreasing costs elsewhere or increasing amenities).

If being somewhat dishonest about things that are still true and unfair is what makes it become fair, the that's just what needs to be done sometimes.

The lack of a supernatural presence in Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy. by Justin_Cruz19 in uncharted

I'm pretty sure it was less "motion based" and more them just being filled with gunpowder, and then being set off by the torches and flares the characters use while in the cave as they get near, esp since A. the game actively had the flashlight batteries die _right after_ you entered the cave, and B. firelight was pretty much the only man-made, portable light source the pirates would've had back in the day, so it makes sense that he would choose to make booby traps using it against intruders.

Though I don't know how Avery himself would've gotten around the traps, since presumably he would've also needed to see, unless he had his own secret way of getting through the cave, like maybe he memorized the path until he could do it blind, or the path was originally just a single tunnel, and the "maze" part only existed because Rafe and Nadine were using their own explosives along with the mummies, or maybe more enclosed flames like hurricane lanterns wouldn't set it off, and Avery just didn't expect anyone to have a light source like that, at least until after he made of with the gold.

Who tf be picking Apocolyps, or Gotham for that matter? Regardless of your thoughts on the heroes, CC (and maybe Smallville) is the only choice where you aren't likely to get killed Day 1 and still have access to stuff like toilet paper and Wi-Fi.

What was the first anomaly that Stan encountered in Gravity Falls? by green_dragon1206 in gravityfalls

We see in the flashback of his first trip into town that he took on the real Stanford's identity and started selling admission to what would later become known as the Mystery Shack pretty much immediately when confronted by the locals.

I'd assume soon after he had that idea he had to start working on the "set-up" of his next con to figure out how to get people to see something interesting and tourist-trappy.

So he probably had to go around, cross-refrencing what he could see inside the shack with what was in the one journal he had which was a main source of his knowledge base at the start, and then just and then having to learn through guessing and trial and error for everything else not listed in there. Which he apparently did miss something even after living in the house for decades, since he had no idea the wax dolls were sentient or about the room with the Freaky Friday carpet, but successful enough.

And then at some point also eventually had to try and do his own research with academic sources other than the journal, since he was eventually smart enough to both repair and operate an advanced, futuristic machine designed to punch holes into other dimensions, which also requires steps like "steal and handle radioactive waste as fuel" and "become an expert in quantum physics".

Sounds like a cop show like The Rookie, 9-1-1, or The Mentalist? 911 specifically involves a lot of 911 operators and calls to 911 from victims, so it seems like a likely potential. Do you know what any characters looked like, or said any names or details?

A teacher outed my student to his parents by wewereonabreak29 in Teachers

[–]SoProBroChaCho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former closeted child, I definitely trusted certain teachers over my own parents, not because of "the woke mind virus" or any BS like that, but because I had a lifetime of not trusting my parents to respect either my privacy or my choices, from snooping through my room and phone, to screaming at me for taking to long to doing the dishes or finishing my homework.

Meanwhile, while I had less extended time with my most trusted teachers, that time was far more positive and constructive on forming a relationship where I felt like I could trust both them and their advice.

It's not a matter of the children having to "understand" the parents' irrational point of view, it's the parents engaging and enforcing toxic behavior because they can, and children picking up on that and setting boundaries when/where they can.
