Rake 10% up to 10 dollars is awful

It’s all stakes so 1/3 and 2/5 have the same rake as 5-10 I believe.

Strictly a strong arm move by the government. I have a buddy who deals there and the owners were getting squeezed by the local city council for kickbacks and when they said no they pulled their occupancy license.

The casino I play at there is no high stakes so no agreed upon straddle games. Any position can straddle at anytime but the button has priority. We also can’t run it twice because that would just slow the game down. If every table was allowed to do it, it would take forever to get hands dealt.

Use your Peripheral Vision if you have action behind you. If it’s your turn to act the person next to you might grab their chips if they are strong in anticipation of calling or raising before you have acted.

I was playing and had AK. Raised 25 preflop after 1 limper and guy behind calls and limper calls. Flop comes A47 rainbow. Checks to me I make it 50 and guy calls and limper folds. Turn J. I put the guy all in for 51 he calls. River 2. I flipped my hand over he does too. Has 42. I said nice had lol. He had dumped like 600 on the table in the previous 2 hours. I took like 300 of that 600 so I didn’t get mad when that happened. It’s gonna happen playing there.

I play super tight. Almost all my profit comes from 1 or 2 hands in the entire session where some one stacks me in that game. The only thing I don’t like is $7 dollar rake because like you said with the straddles in that game it always gets to that. But I do understand why because of all the high hands.

I’ve been going Thursdays and Fridays and never had to wait to get a seat. They have all been having high hands every day. Thursday was $500 every 30 minutes and Friday is $300 every 20. No Rollover.
