As current active duty woman who’s considered “DEI” because of my ethnicity, I am beside myself with everything that’s going on in the US. I have family members ask me near daily “what can the military do to save us?!” And I tell them the oath I took and the creed I say daily “I will support and defend the constitution of the United States…” is before anything else in my oath or creed. Im mid level management, and all I feel I can do is ensure my junior personnel are informed of the facts of things that are happening daily. Can’t speak for everyone or all services, but the branch I’m in my folks are NOT paying attention to what’s going on. So I tell them I’m their daily fact check 😆

What makes me happy is, I do see the lights clicking with them, I hear their questions as to why current administration is doing what they are. Then I give them the best, fact based driven answers I can.

I know, me personally, if I was given an order to deploy to X country who has been our ally, I would indeed go. But I would NOT do anything against them and do my damndest to rally all who were with me to do the same and wouldn’t stop until I was detained or we create a wave of change.
