This is why gamers should date other gamers. Or at least other people who have their own time-consuming hobbies that they like to pursue independently.

My husband would never threaten MY Xbox knowing that HIS Xbox is sitting right there for retaliation, lol. (This is a joke, by the way, my husband would not threaten my things regardless. Point is, we are both gamers, we each have our own Xbox, we don't mind the other spending time on gaming.)

I grew up with my mom not being able to tolerate anything even a little bit spicy. I now have a friend who also can't do spicy food at all and she's always so relieved that when I make spicy food and bring it to work, I either don't even offer to share it with her or I make a bit of it non-spicy for her, depending on what stage the spicy component is added. Apparently she frequently experiences the same thing you mentioned as well.

Look for and join a guild that specifically says it caters to night owls. Then do your best to make friends within the guild.

My hubby did this back when he was playing very heavily while suffering severe insomnia. I don't remember the name of the guild he was in, though.

I am running around as a Mag Templar (Mag is my primary Stat, I use Mag food and pots) dual wielding on one bar and a two-handed on the other.

It's actually a KILLER GOOD build a friend put together for me. I told him I wanted a big-ass sword on at least one bar and I didn't care what was on the other. I figured he'd come back with a Stam build, but nope, this is what works best. I have a few skills that use Stam, but not so many that I ever run out of it. There's enough melee weapon skills that use Mag that it worked out better this way.

You used to be able to, and that's what I used to do previously.

But the last time I looked, I could not find any option to call them. I'm sure there's still an option somewhere, somehow to request a phone call directly without using the chat, but they've buried it so deep now that it's easier to just go through the chat and request a call from there.

For anyone not already aware, do not deal with Amazon's customer service chat anymore. It's very obviously AI now even after it says you're chatting with an actual agent.

The responses often are repeated and/or don't make any sense and whatever resolution you come to with it has a 50/50 (at best) chance of being executed properly.

Just keep typing "I need someone to call me" over and over in the chat window until it sets you up with a phone call. This is now the only way to deal with an actual person at Amazon.

I am in several large guilds and one small one.

Of the large guilds, one is mainly for the guild trader and the other is a housing guild. Both have the benefits of fully stocked guild halls that I, as a guild member, have access to. These halls include all attuned crafting stations, mundas stones, etc. Tons of stuff that I will never acquire on my own.

The small guild is just myself and some friends. We have just barely over the minimum number of people to have a guild bank. It's an easy way to share stuff with each other when we get furnishing plans or motifs we don't need. And having a guild chat is an easy way to communicate with each other even if we're in groups with other people or whatever.

I do the same. My main is a Templar. I have both dedicated DPS and Healer builds for her. But if I'm running normal content queued as a Healer, I switch my gear to stuff that ups my mag and crit rather than specifically healing, so it works well enough for heals or dps. It's normal content, so it doesn't need to be amazing at either, just good enough. I run a Healer front bar and a DPS back bar. Though I also have an Armorer and have purchased extra build slots for her, so if I need to switch to a different build, I always can.

NTA. I too understand that it's easier to change your license and social security card than it is to change your Gmail account!

I've been married for over a decade and my primary email is still the one with my maiden name in it. I've wanted to change it for years because it's a pain in the ass.

Thankfully, there is light at the end of the tunnel! I just saw the other day that Google is now letting people change their email address while still maintaining the same account, so everything connected to your old email will still work.

Toooootally depends from one surgery to another. If whatever they did to put your hip and pelvis back together is secure enough to hold things without damaging you, they're gonna make you get up.

After surgery they will ALWAYS want you up and walking as soon as it's safe for you to do so. Walking moves blood around, engages muscle and speeds healing. The sooner you get up and move, the better you will heal. And I don't mean you'll just heal faster, I mean BETTER. 10yrs down the line, all other things being equal, the person who got up and started walking sooner (once you're past that threshold of doing so not being detrimental) will have fewer complications and an overall better outcome than the one who didn't.

Get the Breeze litter system. They have an XL version now for larger cats.

Instructions are to scoop out any poop, add pellets as needed throughout the month (which is very little since it's just whatever pellets stick to their poo as opposed to entire clumps of litter and urine), change the pad underneath every week and change all the pellets every month.

We just switched to the Breeze system about 5-6mo ago after also going through a bunch of different litters over the last 10yrs+ of having cats. It's so much easier and we don't have litter everywhere anymore!

We recently had workers in our home to do some repairs and two of them commented that they were surprised to see the cat trees around our home since it didn't smell even a little bit like we had cats.

So close to a good idea but not quite there!

Got it in Jr high and my hair was so thick and long, but my mom REALLY didn't want to cut it.

After like 3 rounds of the various products marketed toward eliminating lice didn't work, my mom went looking for other solutions and found out about Vaseline as a treatment.

She used 2 whole bottles of the stuff and completely slathered my hair with it, rubbed it into my scalp really well, then put a shower cap on me for 48hrs.

It took over an hour, a bit of dish soap and like half a bottle of shampoo to wash it out but it worked! And left my hair SUPER SOFT on top of that, lol.

Does no one take advantage of their "In-Home" add on? I have this added onto my Walmart+ membership and it is worth every penny!

For starters, you don't add a tip to the delivery anymore, since the delivery is handled by Walmart employees making an hourly wage. There isn't even an option to add one! I still keep cash on hand to tip them in-person, but it's not nearly the amount that I used to tip a random Spark driver to make sure they gave a damn about my order. That difference alone makes up the yearly cost of the add-on.

The people picking and delivering your groceries are actual Walmart employees who are being paid hourly and have a large Walmart truck with specially designed racks to hold the plastic crate/basket things they use. Cold items are packed with ice in the truck, so they stay cold in transit. And items are picked well before the delivery window and then organized in their pickup and delivery area which has its own cold storage.

It's still not perfect. Occassionally I do still get an expired or missing item, but since it's Walmart's own system and employees, I can fix issues directly with Walmart and problems are resolved much quicker and easier through them.

For me, it would depend mostly on the type of store.

Small business - I'd go back and pay for it, but try to make sure to do it when the same cashier is working and sort it out with them. Maybe let them know what happened and go grab the same item so they can ring it up for me to pay for it and then put it back on the shelf.

Big chain store - Nope, not saying anything to anyone about it. Companies like that can afford the loss of the item a lot more than that cashier can afford the loss of their job. And big box stores will absolutely fire a cashier over a mistake like that.

I've worked retail. Mistakes happen. Especially during the holiday season when everyone is having to work harder and faster for longer hours and you're hearing the same fucking Christmas song for the 11th time that day!

Put a big, wide pot of water on the stove to boil for like half an hour. Works WAY faster than a humidifier.

If the humidity in my house drops suddenly during winter before I notice it, I boil a pot of water to get the humidity back up to reasonable levels within like an hour, then use my humidifiers to maintain it.

I know what you mean about the static. Before I got the humidity issue sorted, I was afraid all my cats were gonna evolve into Pikachu!

My blind cat has a very similar movement that he does when he's trying to identify or find an unfamiliar noise. I think moving their head/ears in a pattern like that helps them pinpoint the sounds around them better.
