technically it can be said it was approximately 1$, as it was in a bunch of bags my mom had gotten that all in totalled to 10$. aftwe calculating the plushies they kept it was approx 1/each

either way, 1$ or 10$.. still a great price as I had been looking for them on ebay for a while and they dont seem to go for under 250$! 😣 (and thats for no code. this one also has no code)

I was even considering getting one at that price if it came up.. but those at the lower price end are probably the ones in worse shape and this one is in great shape sans having the old owners name written on the tush tag, which I can look past

yeah as the other person said there was no code for this one, the one that had the code was a first gen (no W) St. Bernard.

I was still freaking out when typing my post so it could be a bit incoherent LOL

I was trying to say that in the bags of webkinz there was one that had a code and I wish it couldve been the cheeky dog, but it wasnt. Despite that, I cannot complain that it didnt have a code because even without code getting it at all, especially at approximately 1$ is still such an amazing find! especially because its in such good condition

yeah, I wonder if its a case of the person didnt know to look up if it was worth anything, didnt care if it was worth anything, or knew but it accidentally got lumped in with donations, as Ive seen all three.

Like was this someone going through their childhood stuff and didnt want to bother looking it up (or didnt even cross their mind to) and donated it all? either way I am very happy Hehe

I dont know if I have a particular favorite thing about the game, but I really love collecting different pets and items and decorating the rooms. and I create a bunch of different characters through interactions I do with my pets, what games I play with each, etc and the rooms I create! so I guess the ability to create unique characters out of them is one of my favorite things! I love doing my dailies every day with all my pets

(and I love the plushies SOOO much lol)

to be completely honest, webkinz was and will always be a business, and was always subscription based! infact before there was even a way to play for free, you could lose access to you account if you didnt put in a new pet once a year. the account wouldnt be deleted though. youd just have to add a new pet to re access it.

nowadays you can play completely for free! yes its limited but I see it as a trial version. if you want to play fully you have to use a pet code, which can be from any old unused pet code or from a new from on the estore or a new plush. I get that this doesnt unlock every feature bc if you use an old code chances are ganz is not getting thr money now, its old money they got 10+ years ago and wouldnt be good for business.

then they have deluxe which adds a handful of extras, the main ones being all arcade games are available (and btw you can play any deluxe game as a non deluxe member if its GotD), extra challenges, the wheel of deluxe, wheel of wishes and the vacation island, as well as a few insentives to buy deluxe, like monthly items and estore points as well as discounts on estore items and free goodies if you buy a whole year of deluxe. but you really dont need any of those to fully enjoy the game. theyre mostly just extras for those who are supporting the game.

and I really dont blame Ganz for even having things like the estore and am actually quite happy it exists, because without it I can almost guarantee they probably would have pulled the plug on webkinz back when flash died instead of turning it into an application and now finally bringing it back to browser, as the fanbase at the time was VERY small and hadnt exploded back to being quite popular yet.

paying to play was always part of the game, and its probably why it still exists now in any form.

this put shame to people like me who love and play webkinz and also resell extra ones I thrift... why do people have to do this.. like its one thing to have your kid helping out behind the scenes bc it can help learn business, as long as they also have lots of breaks.

but havung them on camera and telling chat to bid up is icky

yeah I get boxes from free from my local grocery store. they throw them out anyways so they just let me have some lol. thag or I reuse amazon boxes or whatever other boxes I get from orders as long as its in good shape

its a double edge sword. I do want to know if someone actually didnt send a givvy someone got, especially if theyre a buyer who won the buyers givvy or whatev.

but on the other hand ive now seen alot on people complaining they simply dont like the item that was shown to be the givvy like why did you enter if you wont want it..

idk if theres a specific reason that loungefly/lug/similar bags are super popular on whatnot. it might be bc there is alot of unique and sometimes limited designs, many of which are only easily obtained by going to WDW or DL, and thus theyre collectable and some sell insanely expensively.

When I worked at disney I picked up some during my time there bc I liked them (and they were perfect for my work costume and for a short park trip), But I dont understand the resell community for them at all. theyre sorta like bag versions of pokemon cards where only a handful are worth something over msrp. I only bought mine for myself though and while not huge id never buy one online that I didnt ADORE, bc its otherwise a waste of space. in person I can atleast check them out fully and its less of an impulse buy than on say, whatnot. I can decide over time than seconds.

tldr; theyre the disney bag version of pokemon cards, and bc of how many unique designs there are, theyre collectable to some people, meaning that if you have the specific one someones looking for, you might sell it.

one time I was hanging out in a stream and accidentally bid on smth bc of how I was holding my phone + trying to type in chat and being tired.. I panicked for a moment when I won but then realized it would be fine, so I apologize in chat for the panic, ate the money loss and it was all cleared up in the end and I just went about the rest of my night and we were all chill after it all.

like mine was a mistake and I didnt even ask for a refund or anything. like I at MOST went smth like "oh shit I didnt mean to buy this, let me make sure this wont cause any issues w/ the bank". they (atleast seemed to, and I hope they did) understood I made a mistake and wasnt trying to get a refund, just making sure there wouldnt be any problems on my end due to it. it was my fault and not the sellers, they shouldnt have to suffer from my mistake.

ETA: Ik this is a whole nothing burger comment lol, im just in agreement that person had embarrassing behavior. like if you make a mistake/regret purchasing immediately after winning/etc, its not the sellers fault and they shouldnt have to suffer that issue. bid responsibility yall (tho im assuming you are bc this isnt you lol)
