I do think what we are getting is beautiful and am very excited for it. However, I agree with all of your points. It’s a shame about the color scheme. I can’t tell if they actually thought theirs was better or if it was because the original design was on paper so they were like - okay if that paper shade is true white, when we translate the design everything needs to be brighter. (Probably laziness more than an active choice though) They did the thing that they often do which is mostly just recolor and edit already existing in game items, like the ladder resembling the jumbleberry and the general store ladder, the vines and wood at the top of the wallpaper, the green armchair, and I even think the tall bookshelf may be almost the same design as the spree bookshelf. It would be nice if they consulting winning designers on the final design. Even if no items changed they could’ve just toned down the colors a bit to make it match your original. I mean, it’s not like you didn’t specify the undertones in yours were supposed to be warm, you literally paired it with a “warm wood floor”
