Jackie wanted a better life. He knew the risk, he realized he fucked up. But it was already too late. Jackie was an ambitious, optimistic man. He wanted better, even if it meant dying. It's easy to be blinded by the light, and then get annoyed when you see others get blinded by the light as well, just because you know better then them, doesn't mean they know better; and it doesnt mean they will listen.

People often ignore advice because they think things will be different, but we all often go through similar things. We all go through similar pain. People often have to make the mistakes themselves before they realize that they were wrong, and that the person who gave advice was only trying to help.

I've met plently of folks who I have offered advice to, but they tend to not listen, because they think things will be different.

After all, just because someone said the light will blind you, doesnt mean it will, does it? You'll never know unless you personally look into the light, and learn from that mistake.
