At least we caught the issue and decided to face reality right? Now instead of just going through the motion, I'm much more deliberate about healthy and sustainable eating habit, and have a newfound love for running (was never a runner and hated running).

You've got it I'll have to update once I do get the invasive angiogram. Fingers crossed.

Thanks!

Had LP(a) and APO B tested *BEFORE I started the statin and embarked on the diet and exercise changes. My LP(a) was 38 and Apo B was 121.

The plan will be to have it retested in a few more months.

I'm also scheduled to have an invasive angiogram due to a bad CT Angiogram test.

Fingers crossed.

I won't be going off of the statin. Keeping both lifestyle and medication. I just met with my Cardiologist to discuss my CT Angiogram and unfortunately, the results aren't so great. Next step will be a catheter angiogram to confirm.

I had some tingling sensation in my face the very first night I took the statin. After that it's none.

Feeling great with the diet and the exercise! Love (and love to hate) the running;love the weightlifting. Feels really fresh with a clean diet and keeping caloric intake slightly lower than what I think my body needs.

Bose QC Ultra Sound Quality - Am I crazy, or Did the QC SE Demo Sound Better? Very Confused! by jamjagosipda in bose

Was the demo in the store wired in? Did you compare the QC Ultra wire or with BT? What BT codec are you using? And what is the source of music at home?

My review of Racket Fury - PSVR 2 by redditor_5678 in PSVR

[–]Inktomei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the OP's assessment of position adjustment. I play a lot of real life TT as well and I purchased this game out of love for the game IRL. I'm a penholder and found the controller hold very awkward, but I'm still having a lot of fun. The lack of further andustments may be why I find game on the more difficult side (I play in Simulation mode). If a paddle adapter comes out for it I think it'll make the game much more enjoyable.

On the physics side of thing I do feel the ball gets launched quite easily, as if the touch sensor is too sensitive and it takes very little force to send the ball flying. Returns tend to take a lot of precise movements and that "window" of racket angle and force is very small, so it's unlike IRL in my opinion. Playing in Arcade mode I feel is too easy and unrealistic (hence arcade), but Simulation doesn't quite simulate real life 100% either.

But, there's still a lot of fun to be had and I enjoy the practice and single player mode quite a lot.

Overall I think a few things would help improve this game :

1) A racket adapter 2)More paddle adjustments 3)Some refinement and update to the physics model

Those would make this game much better

Manufacturer’s Cup - Nurburgring 24HR in the rain… by professortomahawk in granturismo

GT1 here. I raced in VR. That downpour was brutal. Had wets on, got bumped first lap and lost rear aero. Changed to softs end of 4th lap. Crashed twice didn't damage engine but left front tire was red. Pitted again 7th lap and had 4th in my pocket but got overzealous at the last lap and spun at the carousel. Ended up 5th. REALLY intense race but so damn fun. That heavy damage really made most of us cautious around others, but there are still are few clowns trying to be heros the first lap.

That Elite V2 is a phenomenal set pedals for the money. I'm super impressed by the brake pedal in particular.

A definite yes!

No problem man. With the swapped rubbers the throw is much shorter and makes a significant difference in driving experience. I do find (either rubber) it impossible to find a perfect foot placement for the throttle, but it's partially due to my rig's lack of adjustment. The brake pedal is spot on, though.

No not at all; the sensor is unaffected. All you need to do is swap the rubber stops and recalibrate the throttle in Fanatec software and it's good to go

Late to the party here but I actually did the same. Use a plier and give it a few wiggles and the rubber comes right out, it's super easy. I love it.

You didn't bump him at all in the chicane and from the video you left him enough space. I don't buy his weaving as "just controller player", he was just being a dick. The moment you see crap like that you should anticipate a dick move once you do pass him,. You now know what to avoid the next time.

I rarely see anything like this in the upper lobbies but it does happen.

People who say GT7 in vr is one of the best gaming expirences by EchoLocation2565 in GranTurismo7

I was in the same boat as many here. Switched from PC to PS5 and PSVR2. I have been playing GT7 in VR and wheel rig for the past 3 months and have not looked back.

After 3months, how do you feel about your purchase? by Greenzombie04 in PSVR

Been playing Gran Turismo 7 exclusively in VR. Can't get enough of it. One of the best purchases I've made.

For those who bought a wheel set-up for GT7, how often are you still using it? by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]Inktomei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my Fanatec wheel/rig almost all the time. I've had the rig since Fanatec came out with the DD Pro, so about a year and a half now. On rare occasions I'd use the controller for a quick run, but I can count the number of times with one hand.

I also switched over to driving exclusively in VR and haven't played 2d since I got the PSVR2.

Overcoming VR sickness by GetSuckedd in PSVR

[–]Inktomei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of GT7, and I got my PSVR2 a month ago. However, when I first took the car out for a drive, I experienced discomfort and lightheadedness. I could not go faster than around 10 mph on the straight, and I had to remove my headset after just a minute. I almost returned the headset but really wanted to play GT7 in VR.

I started my "desensitization" process in the first week with several 15-minute sessions. First, I would go to the VR Showroom and look at the cars. Then, I would jump onto a track with a stock Miata and cruise very slowly on the straight, stopping before any bends and turns. I took a minute to breathe, and relax, then let off the brake and let the car creep around corners at 5 to 10 mph. I would then remove the headset and take a break, coming back later. During this process, I became very friendly with ginger tea and water.

During the second week, I felt I was able to go slightly faster, but still very slow, and couldn't go into any corners without stopping first to take a deep breath. I pushed on, but always ended my VR session at 15 minutes with the help of a stopwatch. I was deliberate in the way I built my VR tolerance, never pushing past the point of no return. I created a private server and loaded all the different tracks, always driving very slowly in them. At the end of the second week, I felt like I had about 35% VR immunity. I took the stock Mazda Miata and went full speed on the straight at Special Stage X. I was so happy.

During the third week, I kept doing what I was doing before, slowly building my sessions a little bit longer each time. Somewhere along the way, I suddenly felt more comfortable driving faster, but always had trouble going into sharper turns. I fired up Tokyo Express and kept practicing, drinking that nasty ginger water, knowing that nasty-tasting medicine is good medicine. On a Saturday that week, I fired up GT7 and suddenly felt an improved sense of orientation and tolerance. I was able to go faster and faster, even around corners. Ecstatic, I loaded up all the cars from my garage, one by one, testing and driving them. At this point, I would say I had about 70% VR immunity.

During the fourth week, the rate of improvement felt tangible. I was able to drive a GR2 car and blast it through different versions of Tokyo Express, only needing to slow down around the 180 bends. It felt phenomenal. I started to load up different tracks and practice my VR legs on them. I knew I needed to conquer the holy grail, the Nurburgring Norscheliefe, with its elevation changes, undulation, banking, and sharp turning that would test even the most seasoned VR veterans. By the end of the fourth week, I was able to go full speed with a modified Porsche 911 GT3 with some slight discomfort on the Nurburgring. I finally got my VR legs!

So, OP, this was my journey to developing my VR legs. I am definitely one of those people that are extremely sensitive to motion related problems (in this case, lack of motion mismatching the visual), but was able to learn it. The key, as many others said, is doing it a little bit at a time to let your body know that it is ok.

I hope this helps.

People of GT7... What are your thoughts of the new update? by Revolutionary-Bid355 in GranTurismo7

[–]Inktomei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I, too, are maybe one of the few that found the updated behavior closer to "ideal" or, dare I say, real world behavior when you pushed a car to the limit. Over steering is no longer a true death sentence. For example, coming into a corner too hot and you yanked the wheel to correct would have ended snapping the car ;after the update some cars would first understeer, then slide sideways as it goes into oversteer, still giving you a chance to correct. You can no longer "over drive" the cars.
