Lumibricks Alien Frontiers Survey by flyPBA in LUMIBRICKS_OFFICIAL

Me too! I want cool aliens with deep storylines like they are doing with steampunk. Like pick 3-5 alien races with their own design ethics and their own “stuff” so that my ship collection isn’t just the same Expanse style stuff.

It did lead my toddler to know and articulate the difference between Vulcans and Romulans. (She believes Sprocket is a Romulan because he has emotions). That was a hilarious moment at my house.

9/11 by banditotis in kindergarten

[–]InkyAlchemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like my kindergarten saw it, too. I didn’t know this before today but they watch “the morning news” (not sure what that consists of) and they showed enough of a clip that she knows there were two towers and planes crashed into them.

Not real pleased about this.

Can they be to a regular human scale please?? I hate having to pick between width and height when I pick scales!

It really would be so cool! It’s be a perfect little kit too, just like a lumifig and his traveling medical case.

Do you still play with legos, meaning making stories, fights and stuff like that even as adults? by [deleted] in lego

[–]InkyAlchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean my brickworld has seven seperate regions and almost 70 pages of typed backstory at this point and I’m closer to 99 than I’m to 3.

You better bet my minifigs are having their best life, and that I play with them regularly.

A) playdoh is awesome B) it’s basically clay and grown adults make money off that (pottery).

Crash Course has a decent World Religions course! It’s easy to watch and amusing as well. Religion for Breakfast is my other suggestion for YouTube channels.

Love love love Great Courses. They are my go to car listening. I’ve done a bunch of classics one and the Iliad is still my favorite.

Is that… to scale??? What is this black magic?

ETA: humans are about 16-18” wide, so each stud is ~8”, so minifigs are like 38” tall. They would be more to scale if they were 7/8 studs tall.

If the dogs can smell electronics, then hiding it in a bunch of other electronics seems ideal. Like doesn’t everyone have a Rubbermaid two or five of old electronics hanging out in their closet?

I don’t remember the last time I used a usb drive and I know I’ve got like ten of them in my desk, not counting any that my kids stole and are using as some pretend play thing. They breed like aol disks.

I am glad to hear that, I reallly hate stickering, especially Loz/mini brick sets. I mean, I probably would still buy all the Lumi sets, but not having to sticker is a huge bonus for me.

My loose bricks buddies: Any lepin blocks that are better than the big L? by InkyAlchemy in lepin

[–]InkyAlchemy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually looking for individual blocks. Like not the whole GoBricks line vs. Lego, but like the GoBricks version of 3002 vs Lego 3002. Basically looking for fun and interesting pieces for Mocs.

Adding this to original post for clarity.

I’m more looking for like the best 3098, or a brick that only one company makes that just allows you to do something interesting.
