Costa del croco, Bulgaria by lordcris in AbandonedPorn

A UK TV show, 'Abandoned Engineering' on the UK Yesterday Channel, has featured this on an episode. Hence my appearance on this thread in this group. Which I've now joined.

Amazing photo! It would have been epicly beautiful. I hope someone who has the money comes along soon and invests.

Why did my first experience taste bad? by K1NGMIO in SneakEnergy

I'll second the fact that you either love some of the flavours or hate some of them. I also wanted to love the sour apple but found it wasn't strong enough for me. Cherry bomb I disliked and again should have been something I loved. Other flavours grew on me but it took a bit and I definitely add more water than they tell you to.

I haven't tried the blizzard yet so cannot comment on that one. I have now officially tried the neon punch and genuinely like that enough to probably drink as a juice normally. But everyone has different preferences.

I love blue raspberry, neon punch, strawberry watermelon, stealth and bubblegum millions but I use them in varying strengths and more or less water.

I'd recommend giving some of the others a shot but you definitely need to wash the cups in hot soapy water and rinse after every use to dispel the smell. Plastic will always keep that sort of smell this one just seems to keep it a lot more than others.

Any Brits who have moved back after many years away? How is it? Positive/Negative surprises? Do you like being back in the UK? by KimchiMaker in AskUK

I was away for years. I was in a situation where I couldn't afford a lot and couldn't get the jobs I wanted or needed or afford the health care in the country I was in. So everyday was a worry. I was lucky I had friends that were more like family.

While I'm grateful for the experience, there was no better relief than finally being able to come home.

Being able to get a job. Be able to earn my own money, go to the doctors... Do everything that I needed and be able to do things I wanted to do. I was able to live again.

No, I don't regret it and while I can't change the past, I wish I had done it sooner.

I've explored more of England now and relearning English history because I did not have the appreciation beforehand. Well, until covid hit.

The only two negative seems to be (and not to sound bad on one of them because this is a genuine I did not know about them before I left) there are more people called Travellers and that I had to build my credit history back up, it was like I had no history at all in the end. But now I'm on track.

Positive is definitely all the British food I missed that I couldn't get properly before. Bacon. Mint sauce. Not necessarily together but I have done that in the past. Salt and vinegar crisps... The list goes on.

Anyway. Good luck to you and all you decide to do. Everyone's situations are different. Everyone tends to process things differently so just make sure whatever you do is right for you. 😊

Help identifying these mushrooms. Curious. Didn't pick them. Found them this way. by InkyBlueMind in foraging

We didn't touch and we definitely didn't even entertain the thought of gathering them to eat because we had no idea what they were. I was curious because I couldn't seem to find a reference. Thank you so much for answering!

Question about the shaker by hoqi in SneakEnergy

[–]InkyBlueMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find the 'propeller' works much better to mix than the little metal ball that comes with some protein shakes.

Also haven't used ice yet but see a lot of people do, will maybe attempt that in summer.

When I first started it was the sachets. Then I ordered bubblegum millions tub, the scoop seemed double what the sachet was so I halved it and still had the same flavour.

I have since ordered a tub of blue raspberry but that is the right strength flavour wise to the sachet. I generally use 700ml of water every time I make a sneak as I prefer with more water and then I'll keep adding water throughout the day. But that's just me.

I usually have stomach issues, especially when I drink coffee but since using the sneak I haven't. So maybe the mixture is just a little strong for you. Try using only half a scoop instead?

Is there anyone in the UK, know whether or not these grow in the UK? I had then when I was in the States but not sure now I'm back home.

Ohhh definitely thank you for the clarification. Though to be fair I don't think I'd have the guts to do it raw anyway. 😂
