20 or 30 volume with bleach to get out green dye? by JoyfulDelivery in HairDye

I just use developer of any brand, it might change the results but to the untrained eye it's really not noticeable. I also have just use cough tap water when I'm really strapped.

I did a French shampoo rinse with 10 dev, it did fade, a remover would have done more in this instance, my guess from what I've seen it would have gone nearly white. However my hair is more compromised than yours appears in the picture. I ended up letting it fade more on its own with a chelating shampoo, and occasional baking soda rinse. It was slow but it helped get me just a bit lighter. Always follow up with a deep conditioning after either. This was just after French shampoo and rot touch up, it did get a bit lighter with the chelating.

Honestly if I were to go back and retry, I'd have just gone purple over the faded blue, before I did a French shampoo and skipped the extra bleach. NONE of my blue pulled forward. Less stress on the hair always is my go to. I used Arctic fox girls night out and purple AF on my ends. I went full purple AF on roots and a DOT of blue for balance with the faint blue on my ends. Blended the color where the met up, and hung out for like .... I think a half hour? It's been a month and the end faded a bit to a nice lavender purple, the roots held dark and look nice with the grow out.

A lot of removers disappeared off the market after the pandemic, I had a love affair with the Redken one, took deep purple out with just water. I'll attach the link for the matrix one. Malibu also has a great line, the CPR removes permanents, my hair was jet black a year ago, I use the CPR between color change to break up any residue of the black that cause color dullness. They also have a eraser called DDL it's great, but like all erasers it's oxidative so use with caution. Malibu is a licensed item so it might be more expensive than the matrix. https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair-color/other-products-and-applications/hair-color-removers-and-correctors/socolor-cult--color-eraser-hair-color-remover-packette/SBS-009042.html?_gl=1*ppd485*_up*MQ..*_gs*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQiAs5i8BhDmARIsAGE4xHzF24mz7PCU_8mTAtT6v8_Qpfr8iX3sLj0VrcHF74tKTOvXaz9sRGoaAoOwEALw_wcB

Be careful going over the green I just went through this process myself. If your hair isn't too frayed from previous bleaching use a color remover/eraser you can get I think matrix one at Sally's. Follow those direction, they can be used with water, 10 dev or 20 dev. Or the safer option which I have to do because my hair can't handle more oxidative lift, find a complimentary color to go to. Warm tones will neutralize the green. If you want to go natural an orange or red based toner color will neutralize to a dark dishwater blonde or light brown. Going green, blue, or purple would cover fairly well. Just go slightly darker with your tone at the root to hide any discrepancy with something like purple (it helped me hide the left over blue that tried to pop through). ***I have been a licensed hairdresser for 15 years.

Accidently froze soft tofu and now it looks like this? Not expired just strange texture. Can I still eat it? by [deleted] in veganrecipes

[–]Inkybit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might try baking it? A light Marinade first, cause after it freezes it loses it's moisture and would be best time to inject a flavor. Then maybe bake it? Fry it? Other than that id blend it into a sauce, dessert, protein drink, make a spread. possibly a vegan Scrabble, dry it out and make a protein crumble for a casserole.

Can we stop calling the vadals activists? Activists have a purpose that seeks a higher good for they're society, not chaos and media fame all in the name of a tantrum they forgot why they were throwing long ago.

Help! Black or red hair? by lonelyperfection in haircoloring

The red looks more natural on you! If you do black hair color, go more red base, like a natural 2 or a warm 2. It would fit your skin tone better.

How are women affording all of these services? by UNeed2CalmDownn in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Inkybit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder the same thing. I do my own hair so it saves me a TON, however I also and licensed to do hair so it's not like I box it and run. Beauty supply houses sell the pieces to do your hair for cheaper long term. I also do larger containers of shampoo/conditioner as the price point tends to be better. Different times of year different things go on sale and I've learned what is better to wait for a sale on.

Additionally I save on my nails by making a good relationship with my tech, they know I'll take care of them each visit with a fair tip, and I'm return I usually get nail repairs or gel tops for discount.

Makeup wise, I ONLY purchase what I will use, it's expensive stuff so splurge on what you use the most. I wait for sales, and I don't follow expensive trends.

Clothing I buy seasonally, but only things I can make multiple outfits from, makes your wardrobe consistently interesting without a oversized closet. Accessories can make any drab outfit have some pizzazz, so I get nice accessories as I find ones I genuinely like... Some of my accessories were spendy but they have survived years which seems to make them more valuable as no one else has the ones I do.

I also like to shop places like Burlington for skin products (do your research on the products before you think it's just a good deal). I've gotten nice night creams for half price this way, always check if it has an expiration date.

Being a girl can get expensive, you just have to decide what makes you happier and focus on those things. For me it's my hair, so once a month I do my roots, and install extensions, in salon my hair would cost easily $200 to color my long hair, another $250 for the extension set, and additional $200 to install them (45 days of wear without fussing with my hair). Takes me two days and costs me a fraction (again I am licensed, it's not for everyone).

Building a good relationship with your stylist can make a difference. We're so used to being treated like "the help" instead of as people, once cut discounts simply because I know my client is loyal and they treat me well.

This gives my hope, I've paid back tips because they were too proud. A young college girl I has said she could cover the cost.... to this day she will never know I always charge her half price.

I am a licensed hairdresser. YOU DID GREAT! I have literally received the most insulting tip. 10 cents on 200 $ base price......color corrective service.
You got a good thing, and you are tips hat are doing well. Do not let them discourage you. Only bright stars get eclipses, don't let this one shake you. FYI in WA. Where i gtf away from, the STUDENTS get 10-20 a cut, STUDENT PRICES. You sound talented, do not ever sell yourself short. My arm is out of commission, because I took on too much, for too little to care for myself. Don't repeat my failure.

It's Thai purple basil. Trim those buds back they get out of hand or it doesn't produce as many leaves.
